"Rafaela! Rafaela!"

Being a residential angel for a long time in the Land of Dawn, Rafaela was a known healer in the parts. She was a gentle angel, capable of healing any sort of wounds in a short amount of time with her Healing Prayers. She had seen a lot of injuries before yet...

She hasn't seen a stab wound on the chest yet.

She saw Alucard rushing into her clinic, clutching a very pale Ruby on to his arms. Rafaela's eyes widened as she rushed over at where Alucard was.

"What happened?" She asked in shock as she was looking at the weakened Ruby.

"What does it look like?!" Alucard replied back, clearly distressed. "She got stabbed in the chest by Argus' sword!"

The holy angel wide eyed. "Quickly, we put her down in the bed!"

Alucard gently placed her down on one of Rafaela's clinical beds. Rafaela closed her eyes, chanted a prayer. Her wand glowed green as she pointed it at Ruby, who was also glowing green. The demon hunter saw that Ruby's wound is slowly getting healed.

After a few more moments, the wound has been healed. Rafaela opened her eyes and frowned.

"Well, I did heal her wound...but she lost way too much blood..." She said. "We need a blood donor for her...yet..."

"Only I can donate her blood." Alucard concluded. "Due to the Demon's Pact."

Rafaela nodded. "Yes...but we need to check about your blood first.."

Alucard simply nodded as he looked at Ruby, who was still pale yet breathing heavily.

"...stay alive Ruby..." he whispered on to her ear before he saw Rafaela holding a needle.

She just poked it in to his arm, which Alucard didn't mind much and she got some of his blood sample.

"This is..weird.." Rafaela said, looking at the dark red substance that had a trace of white in them in the needle. "I had never seen this before..."

Alucard raised an eyebrow. "You didn't?"

Rafaela nodded as the hand that was holding the needle glowed. "I had a record of your last blood sample and it wasn't like this..."

Alucard went deep in thought. He recalled some fights when he fought Argus. He rememebered that he had a wound on his right arm. Checking it, he saw that the wound was completely healed!

"...I see what's happening now.." Alucard realized. Rafaela raised an eyebrow.

"What is it Alucard?" She asked. The demon hunter sighed.

"I went in...to a forced metamorphosis.." He answered as he was remembering something from before as the fight replayed on his mind. "Basically, I just went into an evolution of some kind. The Demon Pact usually evolves at some point." He affirmed.

Rafaela frowned. "That means that your blood type has change with your metamorphosis in the battle against Argus?"

"Yes." He answered simply.

Rafaela nodded, processing this information. "So will Ruby take the blood if its transferred to her?"

Alucard shrugged. "I don't know. All I know is that it's worth a shot." He said as he looked at Ruby. "I'm probably her only hope to this point."

The holy angel nodded and smiled. "You really do care for her, huh?"

The demon hunter smirked softly. "What can I say? She is my partner."

"Well then, I need to prepare a blood transfer machine first. I may ask Johnson for a ride at the City of Scholars and see if the doctors there are willing to borrow the needed equipment." She explained as she turned around, looking around for the things she needed. "In the meantime, you can be with Ruby. My accomplice will be here shortly just in case anything happens."

Alucard nodded in understanding. "Sure, I will take care of her." He affirmed.

Rafaela smiled as she left the clinic to find the cyborg. The demon hunter sighed he sat down on a chair next to Ruby's bed. She was sleeping a bit uncomfortably, probably from the chest pains.

"I wish I can help you with that..." Alucard whispered. "Yet I might make it worse...huh?"

Silence greeted him as the demon hunter continued. "I always had been trying to keep you safe from the start. I did make a promise to your father that I make sure to keep you safe. Now he might kill me for what happened."

He stopped before continuing in a mellow tone. "I just...want to see you not hurt and yet I was too careless that what I want to happen, happened."

"So please.." Alucard said, his voice slightly stuttering from the immense amount of guilt he is feeling. "I know it must be tough to fight it but...be alive for me..." He whispered as some tears fell from his eyes.

"Be alive...for me..and I will atone for the mistakes I did...and this time, I will keep you safe and happy..."

After that, much needed silence was present in the room, leaving a demon hunter with a heavy heart and tears being shed.
