"We...did it."
In a land that had seemingly lots of debris scattered around, shaping the landscape with the remains of the soldiers that covered the land in a reddish hue. But amongst the remains was Tigreal, the warrior of the Land of Dawn. He sighed heavily as he clasped his hands together in a prayer as he prayed for the people that had fallen during the battle that had commenced.
Behind him was Natalia, who had her clothes bloodied from the people that she had killed during the bout. Her eyes scanned the field, in case of any of the enemy troops appearing from nowhere as the leader of the group did his prayer.
On his other side was Lancelot and Lesley, the former was glancing around for anything suspicious while the latter sighed and checked her sniper gun to see how much ammo was left in the round. After a while, Tigreal gave another sigh before finishing his prayer as he turned around to his crew, giving them a slight smile.
"We have won this battle my friends." He exclaimed, having a proud tone on his voice. "You guys did well on assisting me with this fight as it gave our land more time of peace against our invaders."
Natalia smirked. "Really, that is the only speech you have prepped? I kinda expected you to have some sort of essay ready." She joked, making the other two members chuckle. The warrior gave her a slight glare of annoyance before smiling as well.
"I guess I was way too in of the action that I didn't prepared the lines for the end of battle speech." He replied in a joking manner, causing the group to laugh out loud. After a couple of minutes of laughter, the royal army calmed down in silence as they looked around of the carnage that the battle has caused.
"Will they ever be an end to this endless cycle of hate and bloodshed?" The sniper remarked suddenly, making the swordsman sigh and shook his head.
"As long as hate exists within men, conflicts are just around the corner." He replied to the sniper. "We should just cherish the limit amounts of peace that we have before another battle commences."
Lesley silently nodded at the reply. The church assassin sighed as she turned around to walk to their camp as she removed her bloodied cloak off her body.
"I'll go back to the camp, I need to change my clothes." She said as she walked off the area. The warrior nodded as he looked up in the sky, having some thoughts in his mind.
"Will there be peace that actually lasts? Or does such thing doesn't exist?" He thought as he gazed up the blue sky in thought.
It had been so many battles that the warrior fought just to maintain the peace that his land always wanted but yet there is those ounces of people that wanted destruction, to plant the seed of war within the land to cause more unecessary casualties to the lives of the people that dwell on the land.
He was slowly getting tired of it, the constant unecessary battles that cause more and more people in the death count. The warrior knew that he has to keep on fighting for a reason, but what if that reason keeps repeating that it loses it's meaning.
He thought when the demons had been killed, peace will be restored.
He thought when Zhask has been defeated, peace will finally last.
But it didn't. There was still people out in the world that just want to see the land burn and he knows that he and the people who willing to protect their homeland won't let that simply happen.
With another sad sigh left his lips, he turned around and started to walk back to the camp, making the other two members to follow him silently as they left the remains of the battlefield in a hollow silence.

Tigreal sat on his makeshift bed as he was writing down his battle report on his journal. It was night time when he did so, a lamp provided enough light to make him write down the things that had happened a while ago. Being used to writing such reports for so many times, he finishes them fast as it became a second nature to him.
Suddenly, he felt someone enter his tent, which made him look at the entrance to see Natalia, wearing a dark purple cloak instead of her usual white one. He smiled at her as he placed down his journal and pen down on his table.
"Nice to see you here Natalia." He greeted as the church assassin return the smile as she sat beside him on the bed.
"Yeah...yeah. I know you like me staying here and such." She replied nonchantly as she flipped the hair on her forehead. "I was checking on you and all. You were in a deep thought after the battle we had a while ago."
The warrior nodded admittedly. "Yeah, I guess I am getting tired for constantly fighting and making bloodshed nowadays." He admitted as he looked down on his book. "It had been four years of constant fighting that even I get tired about it."
Natalia nodded slowly, understanding the warrior's situation. "I agree. We had been fighting against demons, invaders and heck, an ancient alien race that we thought that was instinct!" She exclaimed in an exasperated manner. "We had been fighting for peace yet it seems that there always that one entity that keeps it going."
Tigreal nodded in agreement as he wrapped an arm around the church assassin, making her go closer to him and snuggle on his chest.
It was finally time for them to enjoy the limited time of peace that the world had to offer... with each other.
