"...Gusion...why?"
Standing on a hall way inside of the castle, most of the heroes laid on the floor, battered with daggers covered all of their bodies. Lesley couldn't believe what she is seeing now as she saw the person that she loved with all her heart killed her allies... her best friends.
Gusion smiled as he chuckled. "Well, let's say there are just that weak." The assassin mocked as he kicked a body, which was Zilong. "I thought that they were stronger than this."
Lesley shivered at the tone of the voice that he was exhibiting. It was a cold yet venemous tone that she hadn't heard from him at all. It was like the person in front of him wasn't the same person that she had fell in loved with.
"B-but why did you do it?!" She asked angrily, her hands clutching her gun tightly. "Why did you do this?!"
The dagger assassin smirked as he twisted one of his daggers. "Power." He simply said as he walked closer to her, making her take a step back from fear on what he was gonna do.
"I always wanted to be known to be the person that is the most powerful human being..." He continued as he spread his arms a prone position, daring Lesley to attack him. "And there was one offer that I cannot refuse, Lesley!"
The sniper's eyes widened as she couldn't believe what he was saying. Tears on her eyes were falling as she clutched her chest from the emotions that was swirling inside of her. Anger... guilt... sadness... all of the emotions went thorugh her in a short time.
"...you didn't care for the people who had help you?" She asked as she glared at him, her voice getting louder. "You didn't care for all the sacrifice they made just for you to be here!"
Gusion frowned. "It wasn't my fault that they trusted me so blindly." He remarked darkly as he chuckled. "Ahhh, what fools they were... especially your brother."
Lesley's eyes widened as the dagger assassin pointed towards a wall. She gasped as what she saw made her knees weak as her little brother was pinned to the wall with much daggers punctured through his body.
She cried out as she turned around and shot at Gusion with her sniper rifle, blinded by her rage and grief. The bullet travelled past the dagger assassin, who was smiling at her attempt to try and kill him.
She collapsed to her knees as she was shivering from the sudden events that was happening around her. Her mind can't wrap around the fact that the one she loves killed everyone including her brother.
The person that she trusts with her life had already killed the others that was part of her life.
"Jeez Les... what's with your aim?" He asked, mocking her as she was crying on the floor. "I thought that you had improved that. You could have killed me with that."
He chuckled as he kept walking closer to her, the corridor illuminated by the moonlight that passes through the windows. "You couldn't even avenge the people that you care for... how pathetic."
Lesley's eyes widened as she felt Gusion's hand on her throat and lifted her up, making her struggle against his grasp. She saw his eyes looking back at her as he gripped her throat tightly, making her gasp for air and drop her gun.
"Gusion...please..." She begged as she tried to bargain with him as she tried escaping his grip but she was way too weak to do so. "Don't... please..."
He smiled as he twirled a dagger on his other hand."My my... Lesley..." He whispered on her ear with that same smirk on his face. "Never let your emotions grasp what truly matters."
She gasped as she felt a dagger go through her chest, making her instantly drop dead. The dagger assassin dropped her on the floor, leaving her lifeless corpse on the floor.
Then, he screamed in anger as he collapsed onto his knees. Tears started to well up in his eyes as he slammed his fist in the tiles in frustration. A dark, womanly chuckle eminated in the background as Alice phased in the room, looking quite pleased on what the dagger assassin had done.
"Well, well... looks like you had done what I asked for so swiftly." Alice remarked as she walked closer to Gusion. The dagger assassin glared at her as he stood up.
"Why...? I told you to leave her out of this Alice..." He asked as he clenched his hands. "I was gonna do what you had told me so why did you make her come here?!"
Alice smirked at the flare of anger that the assassin had gave her. "My, my... aren't you the one who said that you didn't care for anything but to become the strongest in the world?" The demoness stated, chuckling. "Well, I decided to test that out by making her come here."
His glare never left her as he remarked. "It was part of our deal to leave Lesley out of this, you son of a bitch!" He yelled angrily. Alice was unfazed by this and just smiled at him.
"You asked for my power didn't you?" She reminded him like he was a child as she turned her back on him. "You wanted to see what you have with demonic powers that I have blessed upon you before."
She started chuckling as the blood in the room started to swirl around, gathering up towards her. "But I didn't told you that I have some control over your actions till the conditions were met!" She said with a teasing tone as she absorbed all the blood.
He gritted his teeth as he grabbed another dagger from his belt. "You...fucking double crossing bitch!" He shouted as his dagger glowed an intense blue flare as he throwed it at her. Alice kept cackling as the blood blocked the dagger, making his attempt worthless.
"Hahahaha! NEVER DEAL WITH A DEMON GUSION!" She remarked as she started to fade away. "NOW LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR POWER!"
After that statement, Alice faded out, leaving Gusion on the hallway. He yelled in grief as he collapsed on his knees, covering his face with his hands that were stained with blood of his friends that he had killed for his lust of power.
"...I...I am sorry everyone..." He muttered as tears fell from his eyes. "I... I am so sorry that I was such a fucking fool..."
He screamed once more in grief, echoing in the halls of the castle as the dagger assassin felt the intense guilt and sadness of his actions.
There are always consequences in exchange for power.
