Nana's Backstory

When I woke up into this world, all I can see was the eyes of my dad and mother. Magic was apparent into a homeland, the forest was lush and dense that I couldn't explore the whole place when I was there.

I was happy.

Life couldn't had been better. My mom and dad thought me all about 'Dragon Cat' magic, a kind of magic accustomed to our group. It was funny to pull off on my friends as they would be turned into a chubby 'Dragon Cat'. We would eat around the berries of the forest and drink the cleanest waters of the spring.

We were a happy family, a family that I love with the wholesome of my heart.

Yet, one event changed all...

The magic of the forest suddenly went haywire, exploding in deadly burst. The mayor had everyone evacuated yet it was all for naught. My family and I were rushing, desperately trying to not get caught by the explosions created by the strange phenomenon.

One explosion after the other, it was become close within the area that me and my family were. Then...

BOOM!

"PAPA! MAMA!"

I lost everyone that I cared for. Without looking back, I ran and ran.

I didn't care anymore.

An explosion caught me on my back as I was thrown off towards the cliff, falling out on the open air. I managed to cast a Dragon Paw to land on yet that drained me so much since it costed so much mana and with my previous injuries...

I might as well be dead.

But, I woke up again to see an archer with white hair on a ponytail carrying me. She was beautiful and elegant as she gave me a smile.

"Hello young one, nice to see you have finally awoken." She told me. I glanced around, being unfamiliar around my surrondings.

"Nya! Where am I?" I shrieked as I looked around. The archer gave me a small yet gentle smile.

"You are around the forest of Dawn - A kingdom that I was seeking." She said in a rather weird accent yet I was familiar with it.

"Are you an elf?" I asked. The archer nodded.

"Yes, indeed I am. My name is Miya, a Royal Archer of the Elvish Empire." Miya greeted. "How about you young one?"

"...Nana..." I responded shyly. "I came from..."

Realization filled my veins as I looked behind Miya to see no sign of the forest. My face fell as tears started to come out from my eyes.

My family is gone.

Miya looked concerned. "What's wrong Nana?"

"My family...It's gone..." I croaked as tears fell from my eyes in a rapid rate. Miya brung me close to her chest, into a hug which I desperately needed and she silently patted my back as I mourn over the loss of my family and friends.

After a while, I managed to calm down. Miya gave me a gentle smile.

"Are you okay now young one?" She asked. I nodded slowly.

"Yes Ms. Miya." I replied to her, yet my tone wasn't cheerful.

"I know how it feels to lose family." The archer replied. "My family got enslaved by the Demon Queen Alice...and I don't know where my king went." I saw her distateful look on when she mentioned the Demon Queen.

"I see..." I said, understanding where she is coming from. "Where are we going?"

"To the Land of Dawn." She answered. "I want to serve yet another kingdom in hopes to get myself stronger when I face that demon." She said, her voice filled with conviction. I thought to myself.

What can I do now? Should I just follow Ms. Miya or not?

Well, it was a simple answer actually.

"I'll go with you." I told her. "I need to be strong...so I can make my parents proud!"

Miya smiled at my proclamation. "Indeed you shall, very well..." She said as she carried me to her tent and put me to her bed.

"Rest now young one..when you are better, we shall train and travel to the kingdom." She said. I gave her a tired nod.

That was it. I've gotten stronger under Ms. Miya's teachings even though she didn't know what my magic can do. Yet she help me enchance my abilty to throw my magic boomerang in a good rate as I kept my quick feet while doing so.

This who I am now, I shall make my parents and friends proud!
