In a soft, silent night, I always thought that it would be beautiful. It would be a break from all the loud noises that I hear everyday from the town that I told myself that I would be happy to have some silence for once. A silence that I can enjoy without much nuisance from the noise from the outside world right?

Well that isn't the case... in fact, it was too silent for my taste. The fact that I couldn't hear anything, just the simple yet ocassional blows of the wind from my windows kept my eyes awake as I lay on my bed. I thought that I can just simply sleep easier on the pitch, black room with total silence.

Yet I was wrong, I was way wrong.

It just did the opposite as I couldn't help but keep gazing at the door, trying to see if someone would barge in any moment. I avoid my gaze on the tall mirror in the corner of my room, as if I would see something bad if I looked into it.

It was paranoia, the paranoia of the unknown consuming my senses as I just couldn't find any way to calm down. My body pressed into my pillows as tight as I could, desperately trying to stop the thoughts from manipulating me to not sleep.

Yet you cannot stop your fears of the unknown as you don't know if it will happen or not. It just consumes your entire being that you just can't simply think straight anymore. I thought I was immune by it as I constantly work at night time to the late hours as I tinkered around with my notebook.

It was something that I thought it was impossible but the world itself had to correct me on that phrase like they had to make me feel the fears that I don't wanna feel at all. Anxiety filled my veins as I clutched the blankets as my red eyes kept scanning the room as I didn't know what to do about it.

My breathing was erratic and I was sweating profusely as I kept myself sat up in the bed, the thoughts keep flowing in my mind as I just tried to get myself to calm down for me to sleep. There was no moonlight apparent and I ran out of candle lights to light up.

In short, I am basically in an abyss that I cannot get out from. My arms held my notebook tightly as I started shaking, my mind being filled with thoughts that I didn't want. Paranoia intensified as my breathing became more erratic as time went by.

It was getting difficult to simply sit still. It was getting difficult to focus. It was getting difficult to even think positively.

In short, I am losing myself.

Yet I didn't want to. Especially since my powers involve the thoughts that I emit out, which will turn into reality if I don't stop. A psychic can't simply be swayed that heavy by emotions as their powers increase tenfold whenever they feel extreme emotions or are distressed and felt like they are in danger. In order to control them, one must have a calm demeanour to be able to harness all the power that the psychic can hold.

Yet I am different. I am a psychic in nature but my powers come from my sheer imagination, the will to create or destroy one with a snap of a finger if able. It was unstable as it requires me tremendous focus to be able to use my powers effectively or else it will misfire and make things end up badly.
