Finding Your Direction

Summary: Finding her purpose in life, Ruby encounters Kagura at the kingdom, in which, lead to a discussion on the purpose of one's life.

Ruby wasn't happy.

No, she really wasn't happy.

She was travelling from her land to the Land of Dawn, the land that she wanted to visit as she had heard of many tales of people needing help over there. Yet, her boat had to hit a rock on the reefs of a nearby island, which caused her to disembark that led her to delay her journey to the land.

The island she landed on was quite odd for her. It wasn't any island that she had heard before and it looked really promising to say the least. Ruby needed someone to fix her boat and probably find food and shelter for the time being so she explored the island in hopes of finding such resources.

The buildings around the island was old looking, like most of them looked like temples of some kind. The red riding hood had trouble navigating through the island as no one really wanted to communicate with her, just giving her odd looks like she was simply out of place.

Needless to say, she didn't made any progress to fix her boat as she didn't know how. With her current predicament, she was starving and was rationing whatever food she had left. She slept on her boat so she can atleast be protected from the cold air at night.

All in all, it wasn't a bunch of happy times for the red riding hood as much as she had hoped. She didn't know much of the land and she just wanted for her boat to get fixed up and yet nothing was really going her way.

Sighing onto herself as she walked across the streets of the island, ignoring the looks of the villagers. Ruby decided to atleast try to find someone who can fix her boat so she'll know what she can do about it.

Yet suddenly, she bumped into someone along the way of the street, causing her already starving body to stumble to the ground. She yelped in pain as her rather weakened knees hit the pavement, clearly hurt despite her powers negating most of the damage. Ruby shivered as she tried to stand up but couldn't as she felt her knees were that weak.

"My...my... I do apologize for bumpin- Oh my... are you okay?!" The riding hood heard a rather calm to instantly alarmed voice of a girl. She weakly looked up to see a teenage girl clad in a kimono with white hair clad in a traditional geisha fashion.

"I...I...am.. starving.." Ruby muttered out as she felt her strength that she had on the day left her as she got bumped into. She didn't expect her to be that frail but she didn't expect someone to bump into her either.

The white haired girl frowned as she crouched below, helping Ruby up to stand. "Can you stand?" She asked, concerned about the red riding hood. Ruby tried to straighten her legs but she was too weak as she felt like they were jelly.

"I...I can't..." She muttered out weakly, quite embarrassed that she couldn't stand up. The white haired female nodded as she turned her head around.

"Hayabusa! Can you help me take this girl to the compound? She really needs our assistance." She exclaimed as she supported her enough to make Ruby stand. "She has been in an awful shape."

Ruby felt someone behind her as she tried to turn her head around but couldn't as it was too painful. She silently cursed to herself on how exposed and weak she was at the moment before she felt a hand on her right shoulder that made her look at that direction.
