Stupid But Lovable

In school's library, Ruby was just reading a book with great gusto, interested on the current story line and plot of the said book.

"Gosh, this is getting good.." Ruby muttered lowly with a cheerful smile on her face as she kept on reading the book. Suddenly, she felt arms hug nape affectionately, which made her look up to see her boyfriend with a smile on his face.

"So this is where you are..." Alucard exclaimed as he kissed her cheek, making her blush by the action. "I was looking all over for you."

Ruby raised her right eyebrow in question despite the flaring blush on her face. "What for?" She asked. The white haired teen sighed as he placed a notebook down, which was a Science book.

"...I know it sounds stupid to ask of you but I may need some help...understanding some stuff in there..." He said, looking away in embarrassment. Ruby blinked in confusion.

"Why me though? You do know I am a year below you Alu." She replied, which made her boyfriend sigh as he turned his face around.

"I know that...but I somehow made Layla and Miya mad at me for some mysterious reason...well...you get the point." Alucard said, rubbing the back of his head with right hand. "I mean.. you don't have to help me and all if you don't want to..."

Ruby sighed but she had a small smile on her face. She knew that Alucard was rather abyssmal when it comes to academics so he had a hard time trying to get his grades up by himself. He usually had Layla or Miya help him out in this case but apparently the responsibility now lies onto her.

"Okay then.. let me see what you are dealing with..." She said as she brought down her novel on the table and opened Alucard's Science book. Her boyfriend grabbed a chair and sat next to her as she analyzed the contents of the said book.

When she read through all the contents, it was actually easy to understand as it was a lot similar to her school year's version of the subject at hand. The only difference is that it had a lot more terms into it, which is she understands as it was adding more in dept explaination from the last year's version.

"I see...." Ruby said as she scanned page to page, trying to think of a way to make it easier for Alucard. "Well, try writing the terms down on a seperate sheet of paper and you can easily understand them."

Her boyfriend nodded in understanding. "I know that..but despite that, it is still rather confusing for me. I can't grasp this subject in my brain at all..." He complained with a sigh, making her chuckle a bit.

"I see~ Don't worry, let me help you this time. It is a lot similar to this year on mine so I can just go and understand it rather easily." Ruby exclaimed, making her boyfriend pout.

"Ah... I wish I was smart as you.." Alucard exclaimed, making her giggle again as she grabbed a pen and paper from her bag.

He maybe stupid at times but at least he is trying to be smarter. That is what she likes about him. He never gives up on what  he wants to improve on and he will stick with it until he sees noticeable change or he satisfied with it.

He maybe some sort of perfectionist in a way, which made her admire him. He can be a dunce at times but atleast he really shows that he wants to improve. His attitude towards learning never ceases to amaze her as he seems to never get tired despite how boring the thing is.

From her eye, he seemed to be a genius at hardwork - A person that never has his ideals be fazed by others and will keep continue working on to try and be greater in every area that the person wanted to be good on.

She smiled at the thought as she started discussing each terms to Alucard, who was following intently as she was teaching. It may seemed funny that a lower grader is teaching a higher up on a subject that wasn't meant to be taken by the lower grader next year but to them, they don't really care.

Her voice was calm and clear as she kept up with the teaching, which made Alucard internally amazed at her. He never knew that his girlfriend was really well-spoken as she was usually shy and timid to others. He doesn't know why but a thought came across him.

'Maybe because she likes spending time with me more...eh...I don't know.' Alucard thought as Ruby kept on discussing. His girlfriend looked at him and saw that he was on thought of something.

"What is the matter Alu? I was discussing too fast?" She asked her boyfriend, which was answered by a shook of the head and a smile plastered on his face.

"Not really, I just realized on how well you can speak." He complimented. "You are kinda like a different person now."

Ruby blushed at remark as she lifted the book to her face, covering her blush with it. "Let's say... I am more comfortable speaking with you I guess..."

Alucard grinned as he kissed her cheek. "I thought so." He remarked simply, making her blush even further.

Well, maybe he isn't as stupid as people thought. If there were a test to see on how to make a girlfriend blush, Alucard would have passed that easily.

Ruby rolled her eyes as she placed the book back down on the table. "L-look, let's just continue on with this okay?" She managed to say out, bringing a laugh to her boyfriend's lips.

"Sure. Let's continue." He exclaimed as both started to really get in with the lessons inside the confides of the book.

After all, nothing gets boring if you are with the one you love, even if stupid they maybe. Each individual has there strengths and weaknesses as one person has one thing they are good at and one thing they struggle at.

And... an Aluby oneshot! It has been a long time since I wrote a oneshot about this pairing...which people had requested quite a lot.

This was light hearted work as the story itself was light hearted, filled with fluff and bits with romance. It is a just right chapter in my book, not too extreme and not too bland. :)
