A Delusion

Summary: ModernAU! In a brink of a man's sadness, one may have an illusion just to keep them standing... to keep them living.

I remember the times that I see her smiling... her smile always gave me the reassurance that everything will be okay.

"Sir, the patient's heartbeat has faded!"

"Prepare the defrillabator and set it on max! We have not much time!"

I remember the time when I can wrap my hands around her, her chuckles that chases the rainclouds away.

She always loved watching movies - especially those action- based ones that had shooting in them.

"3...2...1... Clear!"

BZZZZT!

I remember the time when she kisses me on the lips, the taste of her lipstick always had bemused me. The taste of strawberries...was addicting as we kept making out without the care in the world.

"Clear!"

BZZZZZT!

"...no response sir!"

"Don't give up on me lad! Crank it once more!"

I remember her... at my side..
She looks far away at the sunset with a smile on her face. Her bright eyes had always given me happiness by just looking at them.

All I know is... she was my happiness... my reason of being me..

BLLLLLEEEEEEEPPPP!

"CLEAR!"

BZZZZZZTTTTTT!!!

...

...

I remember that she was still alive, grinning at me and making fun on how cute I was as I was fixing our car.

...where did those go again?

"Wake up, honey." A sweet voice beckons me from my sleep, making me groan from my side of the bed as I opened my eyes to see my wife, Lesley with a smile on her face. She was wearing a white nightgown, which got my attention as she didn't like the color white.

"Probably she ran out of clothes." I thought as I sat up as she smiled at me sweetly, her pink long hair dropped down on the bed sheets. I smiled at the sight as she was always beautiful, never ceased to amaze me with her looks.

She giggled as she poked my forehead. "C'mon Gusion, you still have work to do!" She remarked. I raised my eyebrow at her statement, which was quite odd for her.

I always remember that she always says: "C'mon Gusion, we still have work to do." every single morning after we were married.
