On the training grounds near the forests, Miya sighed as she kept shooting on the target range that was quite far away from her. She drew an arrow out and loaded it in the bow, pulling the string back to shoot the target with careful aim. With great precision and dexterity, she let go of the arrow, hitting the center with a fast "thwoop."
"Well, this isn't really much of a practice anymore.." Miya admitted with another sigh. "This is just becoming stale..."
The archer knew that she needed training to improve and sharpen her skills, yet she also knew that doing the same things over and over isn't getting anywhere. Her eyes glance up in the sky as she saw that it was still noon, making her release yet another sigh.
"I wish I can have a training partner..." She said. "Nana can't really train with me since she is still very young and I might hurt her..."
Thoughts started to fly in her mind as she was thinking of choices of who she can ask for help. The archer pondered as she started walking off the training ground to go home, calling it a day early.
Yet suddenly, she heard a howl. Not just any howl.
It was her howl.
She smiled as she had an idea on her mind that would probably be the candidate for her training partner. Miya had forgotten that Ruby was around training here everytime it hits around noon.
With that idea solidified, she decided to seek out the wolf huntress and hope that she wants to train with her. After all, she has quite a reputation for being a menace in the battlefield.
Heck, Ruby has been training under the Demon Hunter himself, Alucard. If she recall correctly, the wolf huntress and the demon hunter usually go for joint missions nowadays. With that being said, Ruby is now a monster in both group and on one versus one fights.
And that thought appealed to Miya.
The archer have lots of experience when regards to one on one duels but a person that is known to be agile, can take hits and heal off the damage while being able to return the said damage? She never faced that degree of opponents that can do that.
So it makes sense in her mind to train with the person that has that exact qualities that she isn't used to. Plus, Miya can help the wolf huntress out with dealing with ranged users, like herself.
It was a win - win situation and it just requires for Ruby to accept her proposal.
Going through the trees of the lush jungle to look for the said wolf huntress. She heard more blades clashing as the she went nearer, presumably the sounds of Ruby and Alucard training. Walking nearer to the site, she finally saw both of the hunters fighting each other with their respective weapons.
Ruby twirled around as she swiftly dodged a strike from the demon hunter, doing a side step as she swung her scythe at him, seeing an opening. Alucard leaned back from the swipe as she jumped back to create some distance from him.
Miya observed the two hunters fight with grace, power and agility that she has expected of them. She knew that this duo specializes in group assassinations as per there speciality in the field, killing the ever present demons and monster that lay across the land.
Plus, they really work in each other's weakness. Alucard maybe able to deal lots of damaging blows but can't really tank lots of damage, which is Ruby's job. The wolf huntress superior healing and crowd juggling makes her a monster to take down with a group yet her healing is weakened if she only hits one target, which is the demon hunter's specialty. Plus, she can't really deal a lot of damage on her own, which Alucard has it covered.
