At night time, Ruby and Alucard were walking in a concrete pathway towards a building of some sorts, their bodies illuminated by the white light of the moon as the kept on walking. Yet after a few moments, they had stopped in front of the steel gates of the building.
"Well Ruby... we are here..." Alucard said with a somber tone as they were in front of the open gates of the castle's cementery, a sad yet eerie feeling is felt by both hunters.
Ruby sighed. "I don't like it here Alu..." She remarked softly as her eyes were pained, emotion filled with sadness had sparked in them. The male hunter nodded.
"I know Ruby.. I don't like it either.." He responded with a sad tinge in his voice, his eyes never leaving the front gate. "It brings up bad memories that we had during our past. But we have to pay our respects before we move along to our mission."
Ruby sighed once more before nodding with understanding, grabbing Alucard's left hand with hers. The male hunter gave him a reassuring smile before entering the place. Inside, it had a huge black slab of metal on the ground shaped like a pillar, similar to memorial stone. It had name plates made of copper plastered on the pillar with all the names of the people that had died on that incident.
There was also a person inside, wearing a black hoodie with green linings and black pants with matching black boots, kneeling in front of the pillar. Alucard's eyes narrowed at the person, as if he was sensing something amiss from the guy. He felt Ruby's gripped tighten, signaling that she also had the same feeling as him.
The person that knelt on the pillar stood up and brought up a sigh. "Took you guys long enough." He said as he turned around, making the two hunters widen their eyes at the person in front of them.
"You...." Alucard growled as he reached for his long sword on his back. "You have a lot of nerve coming here Gusion!"
Ruby removed her hold from the male hunter as she grabbed her scythe as well, twirling it menacingly before holding it in a defensive stance. Her blue eyes glared at the killer as he gave them a sad smile.
"Yes... I do." Gusion responded, a tint of sadness evident on his voice. "I have a lot of shit coming to a place that respects the lives of the friends I killed..."
He looked on one side of the pillar as he reached out, rubbing one of the name plates. "It was a brain dead decision to trust that demon bitch... yet I did. I was afraid that someone will get more powerful than me in time... yet..."
He sighed as he looked at the two hunters, who had their eyes glared at him intensely. "I never wanted her to be hurt. I never wanted her to die... I never wanted her to die in my fucking hands...!" He stated as his eyes, red from all the supposed crying, started to tear up once more.
"I was selfish... I was just too damn selfish to even accept the offer of a devil....that lead me to kill the person I love..." Gusion said, his voice straining as tears started to fall from his eyes. "I...I didn't deserve Lesley at all... nor anyone that had helped me get this far...."
