After that night in the woods, my body seemed out of it, bruised and damaged to where my wounded foot felt worse. I prodded at the skin around the injury on my left ankle, a hiss escaping my lips. It was an ugly yellow and purple bruise. Leon had told me I must have sprained or hit my ankle pretty badly. Since I was not of any supernatural but only human, it would take weeks for the bruises on my body to heal.

I looked in the mirror of the small bathroom in my room. I didn't look as unhealthy as I first arrived here anymore. I was starting to fill out since Evelyn looked after me like a mother hen and ensured I had three meals which I haven't been quite doing. It was impossible to eat, I didn't want to set a foot out of this room if it meant I had to see that monster again. I hadn't really been out of my room, my legs were not quite there yet, but today I just didn't have the strength. It hurt to walk on my foot, only ghosts of reminding me of what I had endured. I walked out of the bathroom and sat on the window seat by the big open glassed window which was locked as were all the other windows ever since I had escaped two nights ago.

A soft knock came to the door. I already knew by her knock and voice that it was Evelyn. "Aurelia dear, breakfast is ready."

I sighed, laying my head against the window, touching the cold glass with my palm, the longing of freedom settling in my mind. Oh how amazing it would be to just run away from everything, the world, werewolves, vampires, and Elias. I frowned, realizing that those dreams would never come true. I was trapped in this house with monsters forever...

Another knock came to the door, "Aurelia? Are you up? Please open the door," Evelyn's fragile voice came again, making me shut my eyes.

"I'm up," I answer. I could hear the relief in her voice.

"Well open the door," she says.

"Let me be Evelyn, I just want to be alone," I sigh, tears filling my eyes.

I thought that had done it, made her realize that I truly did want to be alone. I didn't care if they are worried, which I'm positively sure they do not care for my wellbeing, even if I haven't ate anything for the past twenty four hours. I attempted to pull the latch on the window but it wouldn't budge. Tears filled my eyes as I withdrew my hand away. Useless. Sudden noices outside the door took me by my attention, a familiar and deep voice suddenly bringing me to listen.

I jumped at a fist pounding on the door. I sighed, already knowing who it was. "Open this door!" He growls.

I sighed in frustration, sitting up straight against the window seat, glaring at the door with hatred. "Leave me alone," I answer.

At the sound of my response, I heard him growl angrily, his fist pounding on the door with so much strength, it shook the door. I jumped, eyeing the door skeptically before returning my focus out the window.
