I was is in dull shock of what was going on. I stood frozen, trying to process everything. First, there was meeting a witch, a supernatural creature I didn't even know existed. To top it off, I learned that Johnathon is wanting Elias' blood to become a hybrid and if it happens, he and every wolf he decides to turn will be too powerful.

the thought of Johnathon becoming a hybrid and turning every rogue into hybrids was horrifying. Knowing that Elias' blood was the key to their inevitable plan, so to speak, was even worse. Did Elias even know? Had he known about his own blood being shed could lead to the possible birth of turned hybrids?

I felt Danny's watchful gaze on me but I turned away from him, facing Zoraida instead.

"Oh my god," I gasped, my voice barely above a whisper, "what, h-how? I thought it was only possible to be born a hybrid?" I stood, numb with shock, my brain was overfilling with thoughts.

Zoraida's eyes found mine, her mouth formed into a frown. "Aurelia do you not know about humans being turned into wolves?" She asked, her voice thick. I shook my head, not understanding her words clearly.

"W-What? Why are you asking me this?" I ask, my voice cracking. Danny walked closer towards me and I noticed his stare on my back.

Zoraida sighs. "Humans are susceptible to the supernatural. A wolf's bite contains venom that can alter a human's DNA into a wolf. Vampires' blood can turn a human if they die with blood in their system. Now a hybrid's blood such as Elias' is very tricky, it has both properties of a wolf and a vampire. If a human consumes it, I'd imagine a human would ultimately die as their body is too weak to withhold both bonded supernatural creatures. If a wolf or vampire were to consume it, I can't imagine how much painful it has to be for such changes to occur but..." she pauses, her eyes boring into mine, "I'd say it is highly possible if Johnathon were to consume Elias' blood."

I blinked at her in disbelief. "But he can't. Elias is stronger than him, I've seen his strength against other alphas." I fold my arms over my chest. I wasn't defending Elias' position as there was no need to, he was known as the hybrid alpha with a strength of a hundred wolves. It seemed near impossible to think of Johnathon ever shedding a drop of blood from Elias.

Zoraida nods. "Yes but you can trust me when I say Johnathon is adamant with his alternative motives. I'd say Elias would be more than willing to shed a drop of his blood for the people he loves," she says, her electric gaze intense.

"What?" My cheeks felt hot as she kept her eyes locked on me. I couldn't help but cower away from her gaze to to Danny's. His face contorted and to my shock, he turned away from me, refusing to engage.

Zoraida walked closer to me and gently plants her hand on my forearm. Her touch was almost soothing instead of disarming. "You don't know?" She asks. I turn back to meet her bright blue orbs, confused. "Clearly I overestimated just how innocent you are."
