My eyes cracked open

My eyes cracked open. I blinked, groaning at the sunlight that peeked through my room. Urgh, stupid sun, I just want to sleep still. I turned on my side, away from the harsh light as I yawned rather loudly, realizing I was awake and not going back to sleep anytime soon.

How could I sleep when all I could think about was Elias?

The covers messily sprawled over the floor as I kicked them off and laid paralyzed, too lost in the memories of what had transpired to do much else.

I reminisced in the way how close we were to one another as I stood gazing into his beautiful eyes, his mesmerizing silver orbs gazing at me with so much intensity, seeming to be a whirlpool of emotion that I had lost myself into, but I was too far gone. I reminisced the way his warm touch had felt as it warmed my cold skin, the way Elias' arms held me close to his warm body, pressing my petite form into his large one, the way the hear of his large clad hands had felt when they rested on my waist, gently yet firmly which seemed to be like Elias, so gentle yet sure as if to tell me he was sure of what he was doing and that he wanted me to feel as he did.

A blush colored my hot cheeks as I realized I had been laying on the bed for fifteen minutes thinking about his lips on mine. How something that was not supposed to happen did and it made butterflies flutter around inside of my stomach. But it did happen and it felt so good, temptingly so. I let out a groan into my pillow.

I lifted the remaining covers off of my long pale legs and stood up from the bed, my hair wrapped in a bun, I quickly changed into a more comfy pair of sweatpants and loosened my bun before my long waves fell down my back that came to the top of my sweats. I tugged a brush through my hair leaving it slightly frizzy, I walked out into a delicious aroma of something sweet and salty wafting into my senses awakening my appetite.

I padded down the stairs quietly, hearing multiple voices that seemed familiar. I spotted what appeared to be Corbyn in a light shirt, running a hand through strawberry blonde strands that belonged to Veda. They turned to look at me when I walked into the kitchen, Veda's eyes framed with thick lashes and bronzed makeup, she looked like a sun kissed goddess holding me frozen under their gaze, she gasped and made her way to me with a smile. "Aurelia!" She smiled brightly and held her arms out and I smiled, running into her embrace. "Oh thank goodness you're better! Me and Corbyn were worried about you yesterday."

"I know, I didn't mean to scare anyone like that yesterday." They smile knowingly. They must think I went insane when I ran out into the open dark woods after Elias. "Enough about me, how was Belize?" I smiled before walking over to the table to sit down as Veda and Corbyn watched me.

"Good morning dear, sleep well?" Evelyn questioned me as she set down a plate of food in front of me. I let out an awkward cough as she smiled down at me knowingly. Oh god.

"Yep," I smile, looking down from her gaze. I must have replicated a big fat red tomato.

"Belize was magical. Me and Corbyn went zip lining through the jungles. It was amazing, you should have seen it, Corbyn almost peed his pants," she chuckled and I couldn't help but let out a laugh as I turned to notice Corbyn glaring at us. But that only resulted in Veda and me laughing louder.
