A:N// sorry for the long waiting but here it is! :)
Aurelia's POV:
I stepped into the hallway, squinting my eyes at the harsh sunlight. Waking up early was not my forte, but not the worst decision. Belize was truly a beautiful sight in the morning, the sun creeping upon the horizon, painting the clear sky with bright orange hues. The clear blue waves crashed upon the white beaches as birds chirped, a feeling of content washed over me.
Getting away from Elias wasn't even the littlest bit of a reason for me to visit Veda, at least that's what I was trying to convince myself of. I didn't have to see him anyways as the other side of the bed was empty. Plus, with how busy he was with Natalia, that would mean avoiding any encounters with him for most of the day.
I took a deep breath, knocking on the door preparing myself for Veda's reaction. She would surely be surprised to see me so early or at least hopefully she was awake. I heard somebody fiddle with the door knob before it was being pulled open, Corbyn's face in my view. I bit my lip awkwardly, noticing he was shirtless, wearing nothing but a pair of boxers and a button down that barely covered his washboard abs. He squinted his eyes as the sunlight entered inside and he finally looked at me, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Aurelia?" His brows scrunched together.
"Ah hey," I pushed my hair behind my ear nervously.
"What's up?" He smiles. I adverted my eyes away from him, trying not to look at his scantily clad body.
I smiled awkwardly, "I came to talk to Veda. I didn't mean to come so early, I'll just come back later-" Corbyn shakes his head.
"No no, she's up, come in."
I hesitate but step inside. I follow behind Corbyn nervously. Only two minutes and I'm starting to regret my decision of waking up early and coming here. I looked around the room, it was a beautiful suite. The walls were painted a vanilla color as the dressers and mirror were matching with a light beige. The seashells and ocean themed pictures and decorations accentuated the room, feeling more of a beach house. My eyes scanned to the middle of the room where a king sized bed sat. I paused, realizing someone was in the bed. Veda was soundly asleep, her back turned towards us.
"She's had a long night," Corbyn scratches his head.
"Yeah," I say, "I can see that."
Veda rolls over moaning, her long auburn strands spread over the pillow messily and she wipes her face with the back of her hand. Her eyes blink up at me and Corbyn.
"Hey you," she yawns and lazily lifts a finger at me.
"Hey," I drawl, playing with my fingernails. A habit I did when I was nervous.
