Aurelia's POV:
"So, the girls and I planned an all ladies night and I thought this would be the perfect time for you to meet them." Veda smiles excitedly, turning away from me as she bounced down the hallway but her comment was enough to make my heart skip a beat. I didn't expect to be meeting anyone new today, in fact right now. I thought I was just putting makeup on and going to a party.
"Something wrong?" Veda asks me, and I look up, her eyes holding concern. I shake my head. On the inside I was panicking. My damp hair was dripping water down the back of my sun dress and I didn't have a trace of makeup on my face. I should have traded my outfit for another, I felt like my small boobs and uncomfortably curvy figure wasn't doing me justice.
"I hardly look the part," I mumble weakly, realizing that I'm basically screwed on making a good first impression to Veda and her friends.
Veda raises an eyebrow and looks me up and down painfully slow. "You look fine. They won't have to look at what you're wearing or your makeup. Catie or Olivia love makeovers," Veda gushes, "besides, you look perfect all the time, it's kinda rude to be as pretty as you are."
"Whatever," I blushed, smiling at her compliment.
Veda stops in front of a white door, I wait behind her as she knocks urgently. Without a second later, she turns to me, reassurance in her eyes. She opens the door. "Catie, Nat, Liv, I want to introduce you to Aurelia."
My eyes widen as I look into the room. Three girls sat at a large mirror as they applied makeup to their faces. The blonde girl stops and turns with a gasp, her blue doe eyes brightened. I felt self conscious under their faces as the two other girls turned to me, examining me from head to toe. I followed Veda into the room with a knot in my stomach. However, that knot immediately dissolved the moment Veda beckoned me over by her and I release a shaky breath. I pull on a smile and look at the girls that stared at me curiously, trying not to embarrass myself.
"Aurelia, this is Catie, Olivia, and you already know Natalia." Veda introduces us with a smile and I turn to the girls I'm so intimidated yet awed by, smiling.
Catie grins at me, without warning takes my hair into her hands and looks at me with awe. Olivia's smile is also reassuring, but Natalia was too busy putting on makeup to even pay attention. I looked at her in the reflection, my heart stuttering when I realized who she was. Natalia Anderson, the girl that always had a fling with Elias every time he threw a party or he would be in the same room as her.
"She's so pretty," Catie gushes.
Olivia let out a hiss as she put down the hot curling iron, turning to me with a forced smile. "Aurelia," she tests my name on her tongue, "so you're the human everyone has been talking about."
Grateful for the friendly smiles, I sit onto the bed in the middle of the room. "Unfortunately," I reply wryly, glancing over at Veda who looked to be warning her friend. My heart is thudding loudly inside my chest, I shouldn't be so afraid to be confronted. Veda looks to want to protest until Catie interrupts.
"What she means to say is nice to meet you," she smiles. Her baby blue eyes are enough to make any one feel welcome, her golden blonde hair thick and frizzy. She seemed oddly familiar, I couldn't place my thumb on why.
