When I awoke, things were definitely not cleared up. I was surprised to note that I was lying on the most comfortable soft bed I had ever laid on. This couldn't be the bed I had been sleeping on for a week and a half. I frowned, confused. The last thing I remember was Elias. Oh my god, Nathan tried to take over the Rieka pack. Danny, mom...Zoraida. What happened?

I opened my eyes slowly flinching when the bright light entered my vision. I glanced to see Elias sitting beside the bed, his gorgeous blue eyes staring into my own. He stood up upon hearing me stir, standing upright with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Hey," he spoke softly, his eyes soft and sincere, almost as if they were liquid silver. I blinked at him, my heart beating erratically, my body shivering.

"Hey," I sat up, struggling and laid my back against the headboard. Only then did I notice the color of the bed sheets, a dark grey that didn't resemble close to mine. My brows furrowed and I glanced around the room which was in a similar color scheme but much more simplistic. On the opposite wall from the windows was a flat screen tv, much smaller than the one downstairs, with two arm chairs next to it. Near me was a large set of shelves crammed with books. I drew in a breath when I felt his gaze on me. Why would he bring me to his room?

"You passed out so I brought you back here, I was worried so I, uh I brought you to my room where I could keep an eye on you." He said rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, and I turned red remembering the last time I was in his room.

I stared at him and around the room, my cheeks warming again. He must have carried me here and to his bed. I couldn't stop myself from feeling embarrassed as Elias watched me, his eyes lit with amusement. I blushed even more.

"wait, so I'm back...here? I'm not in Louisiana?" I asked, my eyes widening at the realization. His amused expression turns dark again.

"no," he spoke, simply staring at me as if he was looking for something. His eyes were ablaze and his jaw clenched.

"I'm not leaving you out of my sights ever again, not in this state." He said, his eyes full of guilt.

"it's not your fault," I said, knowing he blamed himself for what happened to me.

Elias then sat on the bed, his intense silver eyes on mine. It was the first time we were alone together in a long time. Now, things felt different. Much different. Elias was an alpha of both packs now and that meant I wasn't getting away from him anytime soon. I didn't know how to feel around him anymore ever since the last time he said goodbye to me. My heart fluttered at my thoughts.

I squirmed uncomfortably as I sat up straighter. The irritation and burning heat lingered under the surface of my skin returned for a few moments before disappearing again and again. I hope I'm not getting sick. Now was not the time to get sick.

I was well aware of Elias' attire as he wore a dark navy dress shirt, the sleeves rolled to his elbows which accentuated his sculpted arms. I had to look away before I started openly blushing.
