I had been cooped up in my room for a while

I had been cooped up in my room for a while. I never took notice of the time but seeing the sun go down two times meant I must have been in my room for two whole days.

Evelyn had never came in the room, most likely she was forced to not keep me company. Elias just left me as I was. I woke up, surprised to see I was even still alive. I had only woke up a few times crying because of how much it hurt to move my body. I was in excruciating pain, I couldn't bear the thought of getting up from the bed. I didn't want Evelyn to see me such as this anyways, I couldn't bare the thought of her worrying over me in this condition.

I don't know why I thought of it. But I didn't hate Elias. As much as he despised me, he never killed me. He could have taken away so much more from me. I realized over the past few days as I laid unmoving on my queen bed, that Elias was right. We both were. I deserved to be treated better for he knew nothing about me. But I knew nothing about him. Only that he had a rough early life as a child, young and innocent. It was weird to think of Elias as young and innocent. I wondered just how different he would be as the portrayed character.

I was angry at him. He left me in this state and never apologized. It's like he doesn't want to see me or hear of me. Even if it meant restricting Evelyn from the quarters of my room. I let out a drop depressed sigh as I softly turned in my side, a hiss escaping me. The bite stung a bit but doesn't hurt as much as it did the night he bit me. I was somewhat curious as to how bad it looked this time just as it looked the first time he ever bit me.

A few nights, I would wake up with food on the bedside table. I wondered who it could be from since Evelyn wasn't allowed in here. Maybe she kept it secret as to not anger or provoke Elias any further as I had done.

"Oh no," a familiar voice intrudes the silence.

I turn my head to see the strawberry blonde at the door, a sad smile on her face. Veda approached the bed, sitting comfortably by my side. "Oh Aurelia," she gasps, taking sight of my neck. She helps me sit up against the headboard, a hiss escaping me as my neck burned again.

"Did Elias do this?" Her eyes darkened. My heart stopped inside of my chest as fear flooded through me. She took notice, her eyes turning back to their normal brown shade.

"Yes," I whispered in a rough voice.

Her eyes widened as she grabbed a glass of water that happened to be sitting on the bedside table. "Here," She ushered the glass to my parched lips. I greedily sucked the water into my mouth, a groan escaping me as I downed it.

She stared at me for a moment longer, concern written on her expression. I wondered when she had arrived and if the others were nearby. A shudder passed through me. What if Elias was nearby as well? I doubt he would want to see me, I thought bitterly. I'm so angry at him for this, he was a monster. The way his veins crawled under his once silver eyes. His oversized canines biting into my flesh. The sounds he made as he greedily sucked the blood from my vein.
