Aurelia's POV:

I watched in awe as Evelyn flipped the egg like a professional. My eyebrows furrowed as I struggled to replay what she did the last few times. I was hopeless when it came to cooking. "And that is how you do a sunny side up," Evelyn grins, smoothly flipping the egg onto a plate where ten others laid.

"Are you sure you don't want to try?" Evelyn suggests, holding a spatula in her hand.

"If you want the house to burn down," I smiled jokingly. I think by the fifth sunny side up egg she had made, I realized it was more harder than it seemed. If I ever tried, my egg would most likely have bits of shell inside.

I crossed my legs, the smell of fresh coffee and food tingling my nose. A steaming cup of coffee was put onto the table. I looked up, Evelyn giving me a sheepish smile. "Here's your eggs," she said and I thanked her, offering a small smile as I blew on the hot coffee to rid it of the steam that rose from it.

"How was your weekend?" I asked her. I was more than happy she was back, I couldn't bare the loss of feeling content around her. Elias had somehow kept his distance. I wasn't sure wether to be thankful or annoyed.

"It was pleasant, I didn't have to work but it was also boring." She added as I frowned at her.

"Why?" She smiled at my confused expression.

"Because you weren't there," she winks, blowing her steaming coffee.

"Why would you want me there? You don't find me boring?" I smile.

"I find it quite hard to find you boring. To be honest, you're important to me." She explained, a warm smile on her lips. I couldn't stop the warm feeling in my chest over Evelyn's words. She was the nicest human being I have ever met and feeling important to not just her but to someone meant a lot.

"Thank you, Evelyn. I missed you too," I smile warmly. She laughs and sits down across from me.

I tell her all about my weekend when I made breakfast for the first time. Even though the pancakes were still runny in the middle and the bacon looked too crispy. She laughed at me, her green eyes crinkled with amusement. I almost thought she was going to die of laughter. I couldn't help but laugh along with her, the contagious feeling swarming in my stomach. I didn't forgot about that girl that Elias brought home that night and how she almost ripped my throat out. Evelyn didn't need to know about that.

"Did you find a dress for the wedding?" Evelyn asks.

I looked up at her, realizing what wedding she was referring to. "Oh, yes, I still can't believe Veda wants me in her wedding. Aren't you going?" I smile, hoping she would say yes.

"I would love to, dear, but my duty is to stay here and take care of the house," she explained. I frowned. Why would she want to stay cooped up in this house?

I was just finishing eating my last bit of food when I heard sounds tracing from the kitchen. I heard footsteps but I continue eating until I heard a deep velvety voice call out. "Good morning."

I turned only to freeze when I saw who it was. Elias was dressed in a fitting black t-shirt making the stormy silver color of his eyes even more prominent. I noticed instead of jeans, he wore a pair of khaki shorts with dark sandals, his smooth and tanned legs on display.

"Good morning, dear. Here's your breakfast," Evelyn pointed to a plate on the table. Elias walked closer, my heart stuttering in my chest when he sat down across from me, his eyes on me the entire time.

His eyes dart down to his plate, examining the eggs and bacon. "Did you make these?" He asks me.

"no," I look at him confused.

"Oh," he grins, "that explains why they actually look like eggs."

My face burned as he chuckled at me. Evelyn let out a uncontrolled snort, her eyes darting away from mine. I scoffed. "I don't see you trying to make breakfast around here."

"That's because I don't need to. I have all the help I need," his lips quirk into an annoying smirk.

I scowl, "well excuse me for not being a spoiled brat." His eyes flash with amusement.

"You got a-" he pauses, pointing to his teeth, "you got a little something there, in your teeth."

My eyebrows furrow in confusion when I look at Evelyn who shook her head in amusement, standing up from the table. I felt my cheeks redden when I covered my mouth, glaring at him. "There's nothing in my teeth."

He chuckled whole heartedly, biting into his bacon. His molten silver eyes intently stared into mine, my cheeks felt hotter as I couldn't control the butterflies in my stomach. "Why are you dressed like you're going on vacation. Tired of me already?" I asked, changing the embarrassing subject.

"Yes, you are very annoying," he Blatantly replies. I rolled my eyes, ignoring the urge to throw my food at his handsome face from where I sat.

Instead, I noticed a bowl of untouched jam sitting on the table with toast on the side. I couldn't help myself, dipping a finger in it before bringing it to my mouth gently sucking on it, Moaning childishly at the sweet tangy flavor of the sauce. I looked up to see Elias gazing at me intensely and my eyes widened and I crouched back into my chair. I was such an idiot, I was waiting for Elias to reprimand me for putting my finger in the jam that he probably wanted for himself. He was most likely grossed out, thinking I was disgusting.

His silver eyes darkened to almost black, I flinched, thinking he was angry until I felt a rough finger gently run across the corner of my mouth. Elias had strawberry jam on his thumb and shamelessly brought it to his mouth while Intensely gazing into my eyes. He sucked the jam into his mouth, making my mouth open and my cheeks turn scarlet. I couldn't help the soft gasp that escaped my lips causing me to turn more red.

His eyes shined with amusement as his lips quirked up into a smirk. He kept me mesmerized into his gaze, before his dark silver orbs fell back to my lips and back to my eyes before he sat back in his chair going back to eating the rest of his food. While I sat there struggling to get my heartbeat under control.

Not only was this man absolutely annoying but he was also giving me heart palpitations.

"Pack your bags," he suddenly said, making me look up at him. "We leave tonight." He stands up from the table, his empty plate in his hand.

"Where are we going?" I turn around, watching as he walked to the doorway before turning around.

"Belize."
