"So what's up with Max and that guitar? Do you know?" I ask running up to y/n before she walks into the green forest. "Oh hey again, and yeah he says he's practicing a song." "AWWW-" She covers my mouth with her hand. "Hush! And Why is it so 'Awww'?" I giggle. "You'll see why eventually I'm sure" "Well, yes, he's showing it to me tomorrow" "That's even cuter!" I squeak "Shut uuup, and how is it cute? I don't even know what song to expect so I don't know... How is it cute?" "Beeeecause don't you see the bigger picture!?" She looked confused, I sighed "Nevermind" I laugh, how does she not see it? Its almost not quite but is obvious, that makes sense right? I shake my head and catch back up to her as I slowed down because of my thoughts.
Max's POV
AAAGH I keep messing up with that part and it's driving me crazy, ill just continue on practicing... Dang, it! How does y/n do this so well! I'll just keep going.
I listen and play and I repeat this pausing the music and looking at the sheet, "Hmmh... Oh! That's what I'm doing wrong.. Right?" I tried again and finally got that note right from earlier, god why did I mess up that much on it? Whatever just focus, I need to play this to her tomorrow morning! I'm thinking to myself and encouraging to, this is nice.
I played the song a couple times through, playing it correctly finally, it took a while but I think I got it. I played through it a few times more without listening or looking at the music, finally. It's right.
I had to tell Neil what I was doing a few times, he wouldn't leave me alone about it. "Awe! That's swe-" "SHUT.UP." I said covering his mouth "No. It's not. It's perfectly normal for someone to learn a song to impress the person they like and then tell them afterward that you do!" I whispered making sure to keep my voice down, and blushing lightly hearing what I said. He chuckled "Do you hear yourself right now? Are you feeling okay? You seem to care and are having feelings..? Impressive" he nods crossing his arms sarcastically. I roll my eyes. "Shut the fuck up Neil I did not ask for your input," I say getting ready to play it again this time singing it to myself. "Now if you don't mind I need to practice it," I say playing the first few notes. Neil then walks out.

I look outside and look around for Nikki, I see her with Y/n walking back from the forest, I motion for to come over to me quick, god I can't believe I'm actually doing this. She says something to y/n before running over to me, wow, she looked adorable in that. "Heya Max, you need me?" "Yes come here I need you to listen to this so I know If she'll like it." "Alright let me hear it, she said she was going to fall asleep anyways so we can stay here." She says letting herself into my tent. Well alright then. I sit on the bed and play and sing the lyrics.
"So... How is it." I honestly wanted a straightforward answer, and I knew she was one of the people at this camp that would do that. She seemed happy with it. "Max oh my god that was amazing I didn't know you could do that! She'll love it!" I take a sigh of relief. "Oh thank god, and yeah thanks." I say putting the guitar in the corner, "Now I've got to go to sleep." I push her out. "Okay night Max!" She called out from the middle of the camp, I roll my eyes and focus on sleeping, and just like that, I'm asleep.

I wake up a little earlier thank god, I got up got dressed and made coffee practicing the song one last time before I show it to her. I went to were we said we were going to meet up. She isn't there yet thankfully since I'm not fully awake yet.
