Xiennah's POV
"It's not funny falling in love with someone who'll eventually break your heart." His words kept on distracting me for hours now. I wonder why he was so affected that he became suddenly cold towards me. I've also been in love once, but that was long gone. No one loves me, even my own mother. Worst, I knew without a doubt that my step father would've sold me if given an opportunity. He badly wanted me out of their life.
I was still in deep thought while walking beside the road on my way home when I heard Chole calling me. I saw him on his red sports car, waving at me. "Do you want me to drive you home?" He asked smiling. "No need Chole, but thank you for the offer", I declined smiling. But he went out his car, suddenly carried me on his back and gently positioned me on the passenger's seat. He then sat beside me, smirking. "I know you're thinking that I'm angry but sorry to disappoint your ass I'm not. Well, where do you want to go?" He asked hopefully. "Home", I said teasing him. "I don't think so," he said smiling. He drove us to the nearest mall. When we entered the mall, he held my hands. I looked at our joined hands. I smiled when I realized it fit well. "What do you want to do first?" he asked. I looked at him. "Dinner date will be fine," I said. If only I can tell him that I'm serious but I'm afraid of his reaction. Is it okay for a girl to make the first move? Can I tell him I like him? But I already decided awhile ago to keep my admiration for him a secret. "What did you say?" he asked. He looked confused. Well I guess it's not the right time to confess or rather I should not confess at all. Besides, it's just an admiration and nothing more. I guess I'll just tease him. I touched his arms seductively. "I said let's have a date or do you want something private?" I said as I bit my lower lip. He stepped back. "Xiennah, are you making fun of me?! That's not funny you know!" "No, I'm not. Thrust me." I said trying so hard not to laugh. "Thrust y-you?" He asked unbelievably. "What? I said you can trust me." I said innocently. "But if you wanted to thrust me instead, well I can let you. That would be..." I acted moaning as I pressed my body against him. I bit my lip hard and secretly pinched my skin so as not to laugh but it was still really very difficult. I leaned my face against his neck to hide my smile. "Xiennah!" he shouted. He held my shoulders, pushing me back gently. His face was so red. I laughed so hard. "Chole! What the heck! If you could have only seen your face! That's epic!" He frowned at me. "I'm sorry Chole," I said between tears of laughter. "I just can't help it! You know, I still remember your face the time you caught me and Rince doing something fun. You looked so embarrassed. Tell me, you never slept with a girl before, am I right? That's something you shouldn't get embarrassed with," I teased him more. He grabbed my left arm and pinned me on a nearest wall. He leaned into me and whispered seductively. "You want me to prove you wrong, girlfriend?" He asked as he bit my earlobes. I looked around and saw people staring. I forgot we're in a public place. And what did he say, girlfriend? "Chole, people are looking." "I don't care. I badly wanted to taste you right now; to savour every inch of you. I want to know your flavour by licking and biting you," he said seductively. He stared at my lips as he bent forward, clearly aiming to kiss me. I closed my eyes waiting but felt nothing, and then I heard Chole laughing so loud. "Why are you closing your eyes.? I'm just talking about this!" He said in between his laughter while holding a bar of chocolate. "You're being like that huh!" I said pouting. "What did I do? Are you expecting something?" He said innocently but I knew better. "Xiennah, if you wanted something tell me and I'm far happy to oblige. You know something like that," he looked at my whole figure seductively. "Why are you blushing? I'm just referring to buying you a new dress," he said trying hard to look serious but failed to by the twitching of his lips. He's trying so hard not to smile. "Cut it out Chole!" I left him behind. "Hey, wait! I'm just kidding around. Xiennah! I'm sorry!" he shouted. But as I glanced at him his expression say otherwise. He doesn't look like he's regretting it, instead he's enjoying himself. He ran towards me, enveloped his left arm around my waist then whispered, "Thank you Xiennah. Thank you for coming into my life".
"Seriously, where do you want to eat? Do you want to try the new Korean restaurant here?" he asked me. "Chole, can we just eat in a food court? I'm not comfortable eating at expensive places." He looked at me intently then smiled genuinely. "I guess there'll always be first times for me. It will be an adventure!" he said excitedly. We entered the nearest food court. I told him that I need to pee so he happily volunteered to order for our food. I went back just to see him smiling like a fool while in a line waiting for his turn to order at the food counter. Girls were staring at him, lust evident on their eyes but it seems he didn't even notice. Perhaps, he was so preoccupied of the thought that it's his first time in a place like this. I smiled to myself. He's so different compared to other guys I met. He never boasted his good looks and wealth; he's easy to get along with and he's happy over simple things. He looked at me and smiled showing his dimple on his left cheek. He pointed out our table and mouthed that I'll just wait there. But instead of complying, I stared at him. I think I really do like him already. But I couldn't. I couldn't risk our friendship. Will I confess? But, it's impossible that he'll like me back. I'm just a "nobody"; and he's way too high to reach. I'm still in deep thought when he pinched my nose. I didn't notice him getting nearer. "I already placed our food there but you're still here. Tell me, what's bothering you?" he asked concerned. "Nothing..." We went to our table and I noticed that he ordered a lot. "You don't look that hungry but still you order as if you haven't eaten for a year!" I remarked. "That's for you. You looked too skinny and I need to fatten you up," he said smirking. "I don't know if you're just being a friend or if you're already insulting me," I replied kidding. Nobody ever showed me kindness before and I wanted to cry right now. But I never showed weakness. I hate it when people pitied me. I tried concealing my emotion by smiling. "Hey, what's wrong?" He gently touched my cheeks but I looked away. "Nothing..." "You know what; I observed that's your favourite word. "Nothing, nothing, nothing..." he said imitating me. I laughed. "You look gay!" "Do you doubt my masculinity? Do you want me to prove you wrong?" He smirked. "Come on! Not that again!" I laughed. "Seriously, Xiennah looked at me," he held my hand firmly. "I don't know why you hate boys. But your actions awhile ago show it all. You don't have to worry from now on. I'm here, and I'll protect you always Xiennah. Always..." I was shocked by his words. I wanted to hug him that very moment and released all my unshed tears. "I noticed you ordered a lot of chocolate flavoured delicacies. I bet you love chocolate," I said awkwardly. He just looked at me as if I lost my mind. "You do know how to ruin the moment, Xiennah" he stated scratching his head.
