December 24 2016 Christmas Eve

Ester and I are in her room wrapping the last few presents for Dawn. Ester puts a piece of tape on the box she's wrapping and puts it aside.

"I'm so happy your spending Christmas with us." She says and rolls out another piece of wrapping paper.

"I'm happy you guys wanted me and my mom to stay with you."

"You and David have only been dating for a little while but you are practically family!" She says smiling and I smile back.

"David has been saying that since thanksgiving." We giggle and finish wrapping the presents.

"Lets take these to mom." Ester picks up 2 boxes and I do the same.

"Ok." We walk into the living room and put the presents on the couch. Dawn walks into the living room and looks at the tree.

"Can we put these under tree mom?" Ester asks and Dawn nods. She arranges them nicely under the tree and stands back to admire it.

"The tree is so beautiful." I say in awe and Ester smiles.

"I think so to."

"Do you girls know where David is?" Dawn asks and I nod.

"He's upstairs playing with Toby. He's keeping him distracted so he won't tear open the presents now!" I say and we giggle.

"That's perfect because I was gonna tell him to do that anyway!" Dawn says smiling and goes back into the kitchen.

"I'm gonna go play with Toby and David. You wanna come?" I ask Ester and she shakes her head.

"No thanks, I'm gonna watch a movie." She grabs the remote and lays on the couch.

"Ok." I walk upstairs and into Toby's room. I slowly and quietly open the door.

"No! Come back my prince, I need you to save me!" David says in a girly voice and is holding a plastic princess toy.

"I need to crush the monster that is trapping you!" Toby says in a manly voice and is holding a plastic prince toy.

"Please do!" David says in a girly voice again.

"I'm coming princess Buttercup!" Toby says in a manly voice again and makes his prince toy jump on his stuffed dragon. The dragon goes down and Toby throws it across the room.

"Yaaaay! You saved me!" David says in a girly voice again and makes his princess toy jump up and down.

"How cute!" I say and David jumps. He drops the princess and turns around.

"How much of that did you see?!" He quickly stands up and nervously stares at me.

"When you said 'No! Come back my prince, I need you to save me!" I laugh and he glares at me.

"Don't tell anyone about this. Got it?" He says with a straight face.

"Got it." I continue smiling and he continues glaring at me.

"I'm serious."

"It was cute though!"

"Doesn't matter." He quickly kisses my cheek and walks out of the room. I follow behind him and we walk downstairs.

"Hey Ester, guess what David was doing upstairs with Toby?" I say and David quickly turns around. He puts his hands on my waist and pushes me back upstairs.

"Don't tell her. She will hang it over my head for the rest of my life." He says and I smile.

"I was just going to say you were playing with him and it was cute."
