Date Night Ch.5

August 26 2016 Saturday

It's 5 and David said he'll get me at 7. I have 2 hours to shower, get dressed, and makeup, especially my eyebrows.

I shower and call Gabbie to help with my makeup. She is on her way while I'm getting dressed.

"Come in Gabbie!" I'm grabbing my makeup bag from the kitchen when the door opens and Gabbie's happy face pops in the door.

"Hey, I don't have long, I have my date with Zane and he is picking me up at 6:30. Which is in an hour."

"That's fine. Are you all ready though?" I want to make sure Gabbie is 100 percent ready for Zane.

"Yeah, I've been ready since noon! I'm so excited to go on a date with a guy I've liked since sophomore year!"

"And I super happy for you Gabbie! I know you've liked him for a while, but why did it take you so long to call and ask him out?" I ask while she is playing with my hair.

"I'm not sure. Do you like it like this or this?" Gabbie does one hair style then the next.

"Ummm, the second one."

"Where's your mom? I haven't seen her in a few days." Gabbie says while styling my hair.

"She went on another business trip, to China. I thought I told you this when she left 3 days ago." I say as I'm doing my eyebrows.

"You didn't, but that's so cool that your mom gets to go all around the world telling people about products she makes!"

"Yeah I guess so." I finish one eyebrow and on to the next.

"Gabbie, go home, Zane will be at your house in 15 minutes." I give Gabbie a hug and push her out the door.

"Have fun with David!!"

"Have fun with Zane! We're going to talk about our dates tomorrow right?!"

"Definitely!"

"Good! See ya later Gab!"

"Bye!"

I close the door and realize I'm going on a date. This is going to be amazing.

David is going to be here at any moment! What if he tak-

The door bell rang

I open the door and David is dressed in an all black suit. He looks at my outfit and smiles.

"Hi." I say smiling.

"Hey. You look so beautiful." David pulls a small flower bouquet out from behind his back and hands it to me.

"Aww that so sweet!" I say through a lot of blushing. I invite David to come in while I put the flowers in a vase.

"Are you ready to go?" David asks while stepping inside and looking around.

"Yeah. Just a second." David is sitting on the couch when I turn away but when I turn back he is about 3 feet away from me.

"Are you a ninja? I turned around for a half a second!"

He smiles and nudges a little closer to me now about 2 feet away. I giggle and walk past him to the front door.

After dinner, in David's car

"It's only 8:45, do you want to hang at my place for a little?" David asks while starting the car.

"Yeah sure, we could watch a movie or something." I lay my head on the seat and smile.

"Cool."

David starts driving and I turn the radio on but he immediately turns it down.

"I wanna talk to you, I want to get to know you." He stops at a stop light and looks over at me.

"What do you wanna know?" I turn my body towered him and he smiles.

"Tell me 5 interesting things about you." David jumps when the car behind us honks the horn and I giggle.

"Ok. 1, my name is Liza Koshy. 2, I lived in Houston, Texas until the end of July this year. 3, I have no siblings. 4, my mom and dad aren't together any more. 5, I have only had one boyfriend, and it was in elementary school for 5 minutes!" David laughs at the last part and pulls into his driveway.

"Ok your turn! 5 interesting things about you." I say as we get out of the car.

"Ok. 1, my name is David Dobrik. 2, I lived in Chicago until my freshman year. 3, I have 3 siblings named Toby, Sarah, and Ester. 4, my mom and dad are no longer together. 5, I have never had a relationship longer then a month."

"3 siblings? I can't even survive my mom! How do you do it?!" We walk through the door and everything is dark until David flicks on a light.

We decided on watching a kids movie called 'The Spy Next Door'. I didnt want to watch a super serious movie so we decided on that.

During the movie I could hear David scooting closer to me every 10 minutes. We get a little less than half way through the movie when I decide something.

"David stop it." I scoot close to him were my body is against his and he sighs, putting his arm around me.

"I've been wanting to do that the whole time." David puts his other hand on my thigh and I lean my head on his shoulder.

August 27 2017 Sunday

I wake up to the sun shining through the windows. David and I are still in the position that we were in last night. I try to lift my head to look over at David, but he has his head on mine.

I get my phone from my pocket and go into camera. I put it in selfie mode to see what David looks like without waking him. He looked cute and he was quitly snoring.

"David?" I say and his eyes flutter open.

"Good morning." He sounded so hot with a morning voice.

I lift my head and look at David. He does the same and we lock eyes. He takes his arm out from behind me and his hand off my thigh, standing up.

"I'll be back in 20." David grabs his keys and leaves.

I fall back asleep on the couch.

What felt like a few seconds later david was softly shaking me awake. I didn't open my eyes and I acted like I was still sleeping. David lifts me up, sits were my head was, and places my head in his lap. He plays with my hair until I smell pancakes and my eyes flutter open.

"Hi." I say staring up at him.

"Hey" he doesn't look at my face, instead he is focused on my hair.

"Why is my head in your lap?"

"You didn't wake up when I shook you and I wanted to play with your hair." He tucks the piece of hair he was playing with behind my ear and pushes me up so I'm sitting.

"I brought you some pancakes." David is about to stand but I interrupt him.

"Thanks." I smile and kiss his cheek. He smiles and brings me a white, foam, box full of pancakes.
