Brace Off Ch.26

"Babe. Wake up." David softly shakes me awake and my eyes flutter open.

"What's up?" I say quitly and he smile.

"I didn't want to wake you because you looked so cute, but I made you breakfast and it's getting cold.

"What did you make?"

"Pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, and hash browns." He names them all and I smile.

"I'll be down in a sec." I say pushing the blanket off of me and sitting up.

"Ok." He smiles and presses his lips against mine. He leaves and I stand up. I grab a small blanket and wrap it around myself. I walk down the stairs and there is a plate full of food waiting for me on the table.

"This for me?" I sit down and he nods.

"Yup." He kisses my forehead and hands me a fork.

"Thanks." I scarf down the food and David laughs.

"Babe slow down, your gonna choke." He takes the fork from my hand and puts it on the plate.

"But it's so good."

"But your gonna choke."

"Fine. I'll eat slower." I pick up my fork and eat normally.

"I have a doctor's appointment later to get my brace off."

"I know."

"Its at noon, it's 9am, so when your done we need to get ready and go."

"Are you gonna eat?" I finish my food and get a little bit more out of the pans.

"I'm not hungry." He says and shake my head.

"You need to eat something baby. I'm not gonna let you leave unless you eat."

"I'm not hungry babe." She looks down and taps his foot against my seat.

"Your always hungry. So I know your lying to me."

"I'm not lying." He keeps taping his foot.

"I know what you do when you lie."

"But I'm not lying."

"You avoid eye contact and tap our foot against whatever you can."

"No I don't." He keeps taping and stops when he realizes he's doing it.

"Go eat." I point to the food and he nods.

"Fine." He grabs a plate and starts filling it with food.

"Why didn't you want to eat?"

"Because I made this breakfast for you and I wanted to make sure you were done before I ate the rest."

"You don't need to do that. I'd rather not be full and have you eat then be super full and you starve."

"Ok." He sits down and eats his food.

"I'm gonna go shower." I say and kiss his cheek. He nods and shoves a piece of pancake in his mouth.

I walk upstairs and take a shower. I wear black leggings and a plain white t-shirt.

David and I are heading to the hospital so he can get this brace off. It's been a really fast recovery, which I'm happy about. We get to the hospital and go inside.
