I wake up in mom's hospital room with David laying next to me. He's tightly holding me against him and snoring lightly. I turn around to face him carefully, everyone is still sleeping and I can't make any noise. I put my forehead against his and he pulls me closer to him, since there was a gap between us. After about 5 minutes, he opens his eyes and smiles a tired smile.

"Good morning, beautiful." He says and I put my pointer finger against his lips.

"Shh. Mom is still sleeping." I whisper and he nods.

"Sorry." He says with my finger still against his lips. I move it and he kisses my nose.

"Why are you holding me so tightly?" I squirm and he loosens his grip around me.

"Oh, sorry. You almost fell of the bed last night, but I cought you and I held on to you so you wouldn't fall again." He explains and I smile.

"Aww, how sweet of you." I whisper and he smiles.

"Good morning guys." Mom says and I look over my shoulder at her. I roll over and smile at her.

"Today is my day to go home!" She says excitedly and I smile again. David holds himself up on his elbow and I roll on to my back, since there's more room now.

"David, go turn on the light." I say and he looks down at me.

"You do it. You're closer!" He says and I roll my eyes. I playfully stick out my tongue and he sticks out his.

"But I'm comfy... and I don't wanna." I say and he rolls his eyes.

"You're lucky I love you." He climbs over me and turns on the lights. He walk back over and picks up my legs. He sits down and puts my legs on his lap.

"Aww!" Mom say and my cheeks get very red.

"Mom, stooooop!" I say and David smiles.

"You get embarrassed easily." He says and I shake my head.

"Do I don't!" I say and he chuckles.

"Yes you do! Remember that time you slammed your locker shut and got your hair stuck? Anytime anyone talked to you, you thought they knew and your face turned red!" He says smiling and mom starts laughing hard.

"Of course you did!" Mom mocks me, since I said the same thing when she explained how she broke her ankle last night.

"Or that time-" David says and I slap my hand over his mouth.

"Ok. I get it." I say and slowly move my hand away from his mouth.

"When you-" He continues quickly and I slap my hand over his mouth again.

"Shut up!" I say and he moves my hand away. He laughs and I smile. A doctor comes in slowly and smiles when he comes through the door.

"Alright Ms. Koshy, like I told you yesterday, you can go home today." He says and mom claps her hands.

"I'm so excited!" She says and I giggle.

"I told you everything you need to know last night, the only thing I didn't ask is if you can stay with someone for the first 2 weeks you're recovering. It would make your everyday routines a lot easier with someone their to help you." The doctor says and I sit up.

"Umm... no, I don't think so." Mom says slowly. She doesn't have a lot of friends because she's always at work.

"You could stay at my house Ms. Koshy. I'm pretty sure my mom wouldn't mind." David says and mom shakes her head.
