School is ending so soon, we get out June 8th. I feel like I've only been a senior for 2 weeks, but it's been about 9 months. I've been dating David for 9 months, but it feels like 10 years. I don't know that works.
I decided to hang out with Gabbie for the day since we haven't had a girls day in a while. I got to her house about 2 hours ago at 9am, so it's 11am now. We've been sitting on our phones all morning, I'm pretty sure we've only said 4 words to each other. I'm sitting in Gabbie's desk chair and Gabbie is sitting on her bed. I look up at Gabbie and see her sitting there, staring at her phone with a bored expression on her face.
"Gabbie." I say and she quickly looks up.
"What?" She asks and I stand up. I walk over to her and she looks up at me.
"Gimme your phone." I say and hold out my hand. She puts her phone against her chest and shakes her head.
"Why?" She asks and I give her a 'give it to me' look. She sighs and hands it to me.
"Thank you." I put it on the top shelf in the closet with my phone and close the closet door.
"When can I have it back?" She asks and I put my hands on my hips.
"Not until later." I say and sit next to her on bed.
"When is later?" She asks and I shrug.
"Not soon." I say and she groans.
"Why?" She asks again.
"I'm I wanna spend the day with my best friend, not with my phone." I say and she lays back.
"Yeah me too." She sits back up and rests her chin on her hand.
"What do you wanna do?" I ask and she shrugs.
"Umm... truth or dare?" She suggests I nod.
"Ok. I'll ask first. Truth or dare?" I ask and she thinks.
"Dare." She says and I smile.
"I dare you to slap one of your siblings with a shoe." I say and she laughs.
"Ok! Which sibling and what shoe?!" She says and stands up. I'm not suprised she wants to do this.
"Uhh.. which ever sibling you find first and your slides." I say and she nods. She grabs the shoe and walks out her door. I follow and we see Celia in the hallway.
"Come here!" Gabbie says with the shoe behind her back. Celia's eyes get wide and she slowly shakes her head.
"What are you gonna do to me?" She asks cautiously.
"I'm not gonna do anything... really bad." Gabbie says and Celia quickly shakes her head.
"No, your gonna hit me!" She says and I laugh.
"She knows you to well." I say quietly on Gabbie's ear. She turns around and smiles at me.
"I know." She says and turns back around to face Celia again.
"What did I do to deserve this?" Celia asks and Gabbie shrugs.
"Its a dare, now come here." Gabbie says and Celia slowly walks towered her. Gabbie quickly takes the shoe out from behind her back and hits Celia's arm.
"OWW!" Celia yells and backs up. She holds her arm as Gabbie and I laugh.
"I didn't hit you that hard, calm down." Gabbie says and we walk back into her room.
"It still hurt!" Celia yells from the other side of the door and we laugh again.
"Ok, ok, truth or dare?" Gabbie asks and I smile.
"Dare." I say and she smiles.
"I dare you to... call David and as soon as he says hello you have to yell 'popcorn chicken!' Then hang up." She says and I nod. I grab my phone from the closet and go into my contacts. I sit back down on the bed and put the phone on speaker.
"Hey, beautiful." David says and I smile.
"POPCORN CHICKEEEEN!" I yell into the phone and Gabbie laughs.
"Ooooo, that sounds good!" David says and I remember I was supposed to hang up. I quickly do and I laugh. Gabbie and I laugh for a minute then calm down.
"Put your phone back in the closet." Gabbie says and I walk over to the closet. I put my phone back and walk back to the bed.
"Ok, truth or dare." I say and Gabbie thinks.
"Truth." She says and I groan.
"You're no fun." I say and she smiles.
"To bad." She says and I think of a question.
"Have you ever gotten tired of Zane?" I ask and she tilts her head.
"Yes, but not often." She says and I nod.
"That was a boring question." I say and she nods.
"I know. Truth or dare?" She asks and I smile.
"Dare." I say and she thinks.
"I dare you to run to the stairs and yell 'my elbow has a face' at the top of your lungs." She says and I stand up. I walk out of the room and to the stairs.
"My elbow has a face!" I yell and I run back into Gabbie's room. Gabbie is laughing hard on her bed and I'm waiting for her to calm down.
We spend a few more hours talking, playing random little games, and we even did a mini fashion show. At around 4pm I decide to go home. I'm not gonna spend the night with David, I have been for the last few months and I miss being alone. I miss being spread out across my bed without having to worry about hitting David off. My mom is back at my house now, the 2 weeks have gone by so she can stay alone. I go home and go straight up to my room. I need to call David to tell him my plan. I grab my phone and go into my contacts. I call him wait for him to answer.
"Hey, princess." He says and I smile.
"Hey, bubba." I say and I lay back on my bed.
"Are you having fun with Gabbie?" He asks and I nod. I realize he can't see me so I have to speak.
"Yeah, I left her house about 30 minutes ago and I'm home now. I hope you don't mind, but I'm staying here. I wanna be alone tonight." I explain and the phone makes shuffling noises.
"Ok. Is everything alright? Did something happen with you and Gabbie?" He asks and I shake my head. I realize he can't see me again.
"No, everything is 100% fine. I just wanna be alone, have some time to myself, sleep like starfish." I say and he chuckles.
"Ok. Call me tomorrow. You don't have to come over, I just wanna talk to you." He says and I smile.
"Thank you, baby." I say and roll over to my stomach.
"No problem, princess. I love you." He says and I smile.
"Love you too, bye." I say and pull the phone away from my ear.
"Bye." He says and I hang up. I spend the rest of the day doing nothing but relaxing and sleeping like a starfish.
