Meeting My Friends Ch.18

David P.O.V

September 29 2016 Friday

Today I prove to mom I can keep up with school and have a girlfriend. My grades have been great lately, B's and sometimes A's. I used to have C's and D's but I really want to continue dating Liza so I kept them up. We don't have school today so I don't bother getting dressed.

"David! I need to talk to you!" Mom calls and I walk to the top of the stairs.

"I'm coming." I trot down the stairs and mom is standing in the kitchen with her arms crossed.

"You have been doing doing good in school. Have you been being a good boyfriend to Liza?"

"Why wouldn't I be? She's amazing."

"Good."

"Can I continue dating her now that I've proved to you I can?"

"I don't know David."

"Mom I proved I can! That was the deal!"

"The deal was you keep up your grades, be a good boyfriend, and be home enough."

"And I did all those things."

"You weren't home enough David."

"Liza has been living here for a while, so I have to be here! Your just not home enough!"

"I have an excuse! I have work so I can pay for this house, food, and everything else the kids need."

"Ok! I'm sorry! I will be home more! Can I please keep dating Liza. I really like her."

"Be home more."

"Is that a yes?"

"Yes."

I walk back upstairs quitly open my door. It's about 9:30am and Liza is still sleeping. I crawl back into bed with her and wrap my arms around her, bringing her close to my chest.

"It's time to wake up baby." She turns around to face me but doesn't open her eyes.

"Liza you gotta wake up. It's almost 10." She still doesn't move so I kiss her forehead and leave little kisses going down her nose. She still doesn't open her eyes so I kiss her lips and I feel her smile. I pull away a few seconds later.

"Morning princess."

"Good morning my prince."

I slowly shake my head and Liza smiles.

"Different nickname?" Liza asks and I shake my head harder.

"Yeah."

"Umm... Pookie" (no no no pookie! tanzania2000)

"Sure." I kiss her again and she shuffles her body so she is closer to me.

"David?"

"Yeah?"

"You said it was almost 10... Don't we have school?"

"No, its 'teacher meeting day' so there's no school.

"Ok, good." She sits up and stays at the end of my bed.

"Do you want to do something today?"

"Like what?"

"I want you to meet my friends." She turns around and smiles at my response.

"Really?"

"Of course."

Liza lays back and places her head in between my knees. I take a piece of her hair and start playing with it.

"All my friends are having a small party later today, do you want to go then so you can meet them?"
