Babysitting Ch.7

David and I get to the middle school to pick up Ester. Then we go to the elementary school to get Sarah. After that we go to David's house to get Toby from his mom.

"Hi guys, I'm Liza, I'm gonna help David babysit" Sarah and Ester look at me and smile.

"Are you David's girlfriend?" Sarah asks and David looks at her through the rearview mirror.

"Nope, just a friend with little benefits." I say and Sarah looks confused.

"Ew, we didn't need to know that!" Ester shakes her head and I smile at her.

"What does that mean?" Sarah asks still looking confused.

"It means we are friends who act like we're dating but aren't." David looks at her through the rearview mirror again.

We pull into the driveway David and smiles at me.

I get out of the car first and walk to thier door. I hear Sarah and David talking while walking over. I go on my phone to pretend I'm not listening.

"David if you like her that much just ask her to be your girlfriend already." I pretend not to hear that and put my phone in my pocket.

David unlocks the door Sarah pushed Ester inside, slams the door in David and I's face and we hear it lock.

"I still have the key!!" David leans against the wall and looks at me. He walks to a small table on the porch and slides down in a seat. I follow him and sit on his lap.

"I need to ask you one more question. It's important and could ruin everything between us" David says playing with my hair.

I turn my head towers David and he looks down.

"Ok, what is it?"

"Do you want t-" the door swings open and Toby runs out. He pulls me off David's lap and into the house.

As I'm being dragged away I hear David laughing behind me.

"Why did you pull me away Toby?" I kneel down to his level.

"How did you know my name?" Toby looks at me with his head tilted.

"I'm David's friend, he talks about you a lot!"

"He does?! Really!!?" Toby jumps up and down.

"Yup!"

David is sitting on the couch and sit next to him.

"David I want to see your room"

"Ok, come on." David grabs my hand and takes me to up the stairs, down the hallway and to last door on the right.

David doesn't have much in his room, just a bed, a desk filled with plates and cups, and a dresser with a TV on top of it, his room is very, very, messy. He lays down on his bed while I look threw the pictures on his desk.

"Aww this one's cute!" I turn around and show David a picture of him when he was little.

"Yea I guess." I turn back around and I hear David get up. I feel his presence behind me and I turn around, our faces an inch apart.

"Hi." I smile and put my hands behind me, resting on his desk.

"I still need to ask you that question." David looks down and I lift his head back up with my finger.

"Then ask me."

"Ok. Will yo-" the door swings open and David scrambles to my side instead of in front of me.

"DAVID!! I FELL!!" Toby runs to him and David kneels down.

"What happened?" David picks up Toby and sits him on his bed.

David is going to be a great father some day. Wait... did that just go threw my mind?

"Ester locked me outside and I ran around the house to the front door and when I was running I fell and hurt my knee and I ran to the door and Sarah saw my knee and let me in and I ran here and it's still bleeding!! It hurts really really bad!!!" Toby says quickly and starts crying.

David lifts up Toby's shorts and sees a big scrape bleeding down his leg.

"Oh my cheese!!" David looks at Toby and he giggles through tears.

"David where are the band-aids?" I run over and kneel in front of Toby.

"Bottom shelf of the closet in the hallway, next to my door. Grab some of the clean wipe things to." David looks at me and smiles.

While I'm gone I hear David trying to get Toby to stop crying.

"Come on bud! Be a man, you got this Toby! Pretend you are surrounded by pretty girls and there are zombies coming towered them and you need to kill all of the zombies!" Toby giggles and sticks out his chest.

"There you go! Your a man!!" I come back with a big band-aid with dinosaurs on it and I clean up Toby's scrape.

"I like dinosaurs! Thanks David! Thanks Liza! Bye bye!" Toby leaves the room and David flops on his bed.

I walk back over to David's desk and continue looking through his pictures. I feel David behind me again but I don't turn around. David slowly puts his hands so my hips then is arms snake around my waist. I drop the pictures and quickly spin around, our faces are half an inch away.

"Still got that question?" I smile and David does as well.

"Yeah. Liza Koshy will you make me the happiest man alive and be my girlfriend?"

AHH!! OMG THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING!!!

"Yeah, why not." I smile.

There is a minute of silence where David and I are staring into each other's eyes. Our faces are still half and inch away from each other's. David smiles and presses our lips together, I had my hands laying on his chest but wrap them around his neck I and relax. We both pull away and David lays his forehead on mine.

"You have no idea how long I have been wanting to do that." David still has his arms around my waist and he moves his arms to where just his hands are on my hips.
