I'm graduating from high school today. Every time I think about that, I want to cry. Today is my last day of school and we're not even going to every class. We're going straight to the gym for graduation. David and I just got to school about 10 minutes ago. We're already in the gym sitting on the bleachers with all of the other seniors. A few of the girls are crying while the others are ready to have a party. If you know me at all, you know I'm one of the girls crying. I lay against David and he holds me close to him.

"HELLO CLASS OF 2017!" The principle yells through a microphone and all the students cheer.

"ARE YOU GUYS READY TO GRADUATE?!" The principle yells and all the students cheer again.

"Are you ready to graduate?" David says and I nod.

"Yeah." I sit up straight and squeeze David's hand. I realized I shouldn't be sad about this, I should be happy.

"EVERYONE STAND TO YOUR FEET! LET YOUR PARENTS TAKE PICTURES OF YOU BEFORE YOU GRADUATE! WE WILL BEGIN IN 10 MINUTES!" The principle yells through a microphone again and everyone stands up. We all scatter around the gym looking for our parents. After lots of flashing pictures, everyone slowly starts to settle back into their seats on the bleachers.

The ceremony went by quick, but slow at the same time. They just finished calling names so it's time for The valedictorian. The valedictorian is some girl that has had a perfect 4.0 GPA since kindergarten, I wasn't here, but I've heard. She goes up on stage and makes this super long speech about how we should treasure our lives because we don't know how much time we have left. She was right. After the entire ceremony, everyone is crying, cheering, smiling, and hugging. David and I go around to all our friends and tell them things like 'we made it!' Or 'let's keep in touch!' We went around to pretty much everyone except our little squad. That was the last group we went to because we knew we would spend a long time there. Once we get to our little squad, I see all the girls crying into their boyfriends. Carly and Erin are crying into each other since they don't have boyfriends. I feel a tear go down my cheek and Kristen looks over at me. She lets go of Scotty and runs over to me. All the crying girls get into a little group hug. We finish saying goodbye and we all split to find our parents. David and I find our mom's crying together. We all go back to David's house and we all split to go cry alone. David takes me up to him room and we sit on his bed.

"We're not in high school anymore." I say and start crying into my hands.

"Babe, you should be happy." He says and I nod.

"I am happy. I'm so happy. I just know I'm never gonna see 90 percent of my friends ever again." I say and he nods.

"I know. But if you want to keep the friends you have, you have to keep in contact." He says and I sit up straight.

"I know." I stand up from off the bed and go into the bathroom. I wash my face and go back into the room.

"Lets go downstairs." David says and I smile.

"K." I say and we walk downstairs.

"Hey, sweetie." Mom says and hugs me once I get all the way down the stairs.

"Hi, Mom." I say and she smiles.

"We're gonna go out to dinner to celebrate in about an hour. Is that ok?" She asks and I nod.

"Definitely." I smile and she hugs me again. She looks over at David and smiles at him. He smiles back and she brings him into a quick hug.

"Congratulations, David." She says and smiles again.

"Thank you." He says and mom walks away.

"Liza!" Ester says and runs over to me.

"Hey!" I say and he hugs me.

"Did David cheat in all his classes? I didn't think he was actually going to graduate!" She says and David rolls his eyes.

"Wow, love you too, Ester." He says and Ester laughs. She hugs him and David chuckles. We go into the kitchen and Sarah is making herself a sandwich.

"Liza!" She says and runs over to me.

"Wow, my siblings really love just you." David says and Sarah hugs me.

"I love you, but Liza's nicer." Sarah says and lets go of me. She hugs David and David smiles at me.

"I'm just getting roasted by my siblings." He says and Sarah walks away. We walk back into the living room and Toby is sitting on the couch.

"David!" He says and runs over to David.

"Finally, one sibling that loves me." David says and picks up Toby.

"What?" Toby says and I smile.

"Nothing." I say and he nods. He makes grab motions with his hands towered me and I take him from David.

"Congrats on passing high school!" Toby says and I giggle.

"Thanks." I say and put him down.

An hour goes by and it's time to go out to dinner. Everyone piles into the car and we drive to Olive Garden. We go inside and get seated after a few minutes of waiting. We get seated in a booth and I'm on the end next to David.

"What should I get?" David asks and I shrug.

"Umm.... I'm gonna get ravioli with Alfredo sauce." I say and he nods.

"Wanna share? I know you don't eat much so whatever you don't eat, I will." He says and I nod.

"Ok. I want dessert to." I say and he smiles.

"Then ask for dessert." He kisses my temple and opens the menu to the dessert section.

"I want something with chocolate." I say and he smiles.

"Babe, that's literally every dessert on here." He hands me the menu and I nod once I realize he's right.

"Wow, you're right. Everything except for this plain vanilla ice cream." I close the menu and we all spend a while talking about whatever.

The waiter comes back around and we all order our food. We spend about 2 hours there talking, laughing, and slowly eating as we talk. Everyone finishes and we all pile into the car again. We drive home and everyone goes straight to bed, it's been a very long day.
