Something has been on my mind for a while but I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna go through with it. I have been talking to Gabbie about it but I still don't know. I need to talk to her more about it. Liza is in the shower and I need to tell her I'm leaving.

"Babe? Can I come in?" I say knocking on the door and I hear the shower curtains slide against the metal bar.

"Yeah. What's up?" I walk in and she is covering herself with the shower curtain. I close the door behind me and lean against the counter.

"I'm gonna go somewhere." I say and she nods.

"Ok. Where are you going?"

"I just need to talk to Gabbie."

"Everything ok?" She has a concerned look on her face and I walk closer to her.

"Everything is perfect. I just need to talk to her about something." I kiss her cheek and start to walk out the door but she stops me.

"David, I'm serious. Is everything ok? You've been going to her house a lot lately." She says suspiciously. I turn around and walk back to her.

"If you think anything is going on between us, then you're wrong. I love you and only you." I kiss her and walk out of the bathroom.

I pick up my phone from off the night stand and call Gabbie. She answers and I walk to my car.

"Hey Dave."

"Hi. Can I come over?" I sit in the driver's seat and put my head on the seat.

"Sure but, you can't go through with this."

"I know. I just need to talk about it so I know what I could do later." I start the car and pull out of the driveway.

"Ok. See ya in a bit."

"See ya." I hang up and drive to her house. I knock and her mom opens the door a few seconds later.

"Hi David! Are you here to see Gabbie?" She says opening the door letting me inside.

"Hi. And yeah." I say and she points to the stairs.

"She's in her room."

"Thank you." I walk up the stairs and knock on her door.

"Come in." She yells and I open the door.

"Hey."

"Hi. Why are you still thinking about this? You can't do this!" She says and I sit on her bed.

"Because it's been on my mind for a while. I know I can't but I really want to."

"Your still in high school. Don't you want to go to college? I know Liza does."

"That's why I don't think I'm going through with it."

"You can't propose to her! (Suprise!) It just won't work! You will mess something up and you guys won't be together!" She says and hits the back of my head.

"Can I wait till after high school?"

"No, David! I know Liza wants to go to college and you should to!"

"I'm not going to college." I say and she stares at me.

"Why? If you guys are still together by the time your supposed to go to college and if Liza goes and you don't, your gonna break apart." I nod and she stands up.

"I know. That's why I want to propose to her. So everyone at her school will know she's mine because of the ring." I say regretting even thinking of this stupid idea.
