I wake up in a hotel bed next to David. Well, not really next to him... his legs are on top of me and his head is next to my feet. What happen last night that made him fall asleep like this? I push his legs off of me and he stirs. I slowly sit up and rub my eyes. Sarah and Toby are already awake watching tv. Sarah looks over at me and her eyes get wide.
"Woah, Liza your hair is a mess." Sarah says and I nod.
"Yeah, I figured." I say and lay down again. David stirs again and almost falls off the bed. He quickly wakes up and catches himself before he falls.
"Oh my god... wait... why am I over here?" He says sitting up with a confused look.
"I don't know, I woke up like 30 seconds ago." I say and he chuckles.
"Is everyone up?" He asks and I look over at Ester who is still sleeping.
"Not everyone, Ester is still sleeping." I say and David nods.
"What should we get for breakfast?" He asks and I shrug.
"Room service?" I ask and he waits a second before nodding.
"Sure." He says and stands up. He slowly walkes over to the desk and picks up a menu.
"Does everyone want pancakes?" He asks looking around at everyone.
"Sure, babe. Get eggs and sausage and bacon and other things too." I say and he gives me a thumbs up.
"Sarah, wake up Ester please." He picks up the phone and Sarah stands up from the bed.
She carefully wakes up Ester while David orders food. Once the food gets here, we eat and get dressed. We drive to the Hollywood sign and Esters face lights up when she sees where we're going.
"We're going to the Hollywood sign!?" Ester asks and I nod.
"Yup." David says and pulls into a dirt parking lot. We get out and Ester takes about 50 pictures of the sign.
"Oh my god this is amazing." She says and takes a few more pictures.
"We have another spot to go to and we're leaving in a few minutes so hurry up." David says and Ester nod.
"This is so cool!" Sarah says smiling.
"Its just a sign." Toby says looking disappointed.
"We did your thing yesterday, now we do their thing today." David says picking Toby up.
"Liza? Can you take a picture of me and Sarah with the sign in the background please?" Ester asks handing me her phone.
"Sure." They position themselves and I take the picture.
"Thank you." Sarah says and I smile.
"No problem." I say and stand closer to David.
"Let's go to the next place." Ester says and opens the car door. We all get in and drive to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We get there and Esters face lights up the same way it did before.
"Oh my god! The fancy star things with names on them!" Sarah says and Ester smiles.
"Its called the Hollywood Walk of Fame." She says and Sarah makes a psh noise.
"Whatever. They even have one for Mickey mouse!" She says and as we drive past it.
"David! You past it!" Ester says and he looks at her through the review mirror.
"We need parking, Ester." David says and I smile.
"Well hurry up!" Sarah says and laughs, letting David know she's joking.
"Ok, ok." David says and we continue our search for a parking spot. We finally find one a few minutes later. It it's kinda far from the place, so we have to walk a little. We start waking down the surprisingly not crowded sidewalk. Ester and Sarah walk ahead smiling and talking excitedly. I walk next to David holding his hand and tont is David's other side. David looks over at me and smiles a tired smile.
"You're so cute." I say and he tilts his head.
"Thanks..?" He says slowly and I smile.
"Why did your answer sound like a question?" I ask and he shrugs.
"Cause that was out of no where." He says and I look at the ground.
"I just wanted to say you're cute, why are you making this so complicated?" I ask jokingly and he smiles.
"I don't know, I'm annoying." He says and I smile at him.
"You don't have to tell me twice." I say and he chuckles. He playfully hits me with his elbow and I giggle. We finally make it to the Walk of Fame and Sarah claps her hands.
"I'm so happy!" She says and runs around looking at the stars on the ground.
"Mickey mouse!" Ester yells at Sarah and pointing at a star. She runs over and looks down at it in awe. We spend about an hour, which is long time, looking at stars and taking pictures. David decides it's time to go and Sarah whines.
"Noooooo! I wanna stay here!" She complains and David shakes his head.
"Nope. We gotta get our stuff packed and we're leaving tonight." David says and Ester nods.
"Ok." She says with a sad tone and walks closer to Sarah.
"Come on, I wanna stay too but all good things come to an end." Ester says and Sarah nods.
"I know." They both slowly start walking in the direction of the car and we follow. We walk back to the car then we drive back to the hotel. Once we get there, everyone starts packing their things and cleaning up the hotel room.
"Everyone ready to go?" David asks and everyone grabs their little bags.
"Yup." Toby says and we go out the car. We put our bags in the trunk and get in. We drive to the lobby and David gets out to return the room key. But the time David gets back, Sarah and Toby are already fast asleep. I fell asleep on the way here and left David alone, so I'm gonna stay awake this time.
"I forgot to tell you something earlier." David says and I look over at him.
"And what's that?" I say and he smiles.
"You're cute too." He says and smiles a cheesy grin.
"Thanks." I say smiling. He turns on the radio and a long I've never heard before comes on. We listen to it anyway and it's kinda good.
We drive for about 2 hours and get to David's house. Toby and Sarah are still sleeping when we pull into the driveway. David picks up Sarah and I pick up Toby. We go inside and take then to their rooms. It's only 4pm so we have time before dinner starts. David and I go up to his room and I lay like a starfish on the bed. David lays next to me so I reposition myself so my legs are on top of him and my arms around him. He smiles at my position and tries to grab a blanket with his foot. He fails so I have to grab it for him. We cuddle up again and fall asleep in David's comfy bed.
