(Alison POV)
Today I take Emily and the babies home. I can't wait to show them the house even though they're probably going to be asleep for most of it.
Emily and the babies have a few more tests and checks to make sure they're all healthy enough to come home today. I hope so, even though all of the nurses said that she was healing tremendously well.
It's about 11:00 am. The twins and emily and I have all eaten and now I'm clearing the car before we can put the babies in. I've changed so much since they were born. I have thoroughly turned into a germaphobe. I don't want my babies getting sick.
I go back to the room and the doctor is just finishing checking up on Emily and the babies.
"Okay, you guys are all set to leave. I'll just need you to sign these discharge papers and you'll be free to go." He said.
"Thank you doctor." Emily says as she signs the papers. I give him a warm smile. And then the doctor leaves the room
"Did you grab their coming home outfits?" Emily asks.
"Yes, I grabbed the outfits, diaper bag and your outfit from the bags before I put them in the car. Here, I'll help you with your hair." I said and braided it in a french braid.
"Thank you." Emily said and smiled at me.
"I love you." I say.
"I love you too." She says.
"Let's get the babies ready." I say.
"Okay, which one do you want?" She asks.
"I don't care." I say.
"I'll take Asher." She says.
"I'll take Lily." I say.
I get Lily ready. Omg she's just so cute. I can't believe we made this. We as in my eggs and Emilys womb. We. She has a bleach blonde sort of hair going on and I'm guessing she will probably have my blue eyes. I put on her onesie that says "my aunt is my bestie." For the girls. And then I put on her cute pink ruffle tutu and her adorable little bow headband sort of thing. When I'm finished, I look at Emily. She has Asher all dressed. Honestly, I don't think he looks like me all that much. I think he will have a brunette sort of hair color and brown eyes. Not sure. His facial structures look like mine though. He's adorable.
"Are you ready?" I ask Emily.
"Yeah, I think we have everything." She says.
"Okay, let's go home. Do we want to call the girls? Let them see the babies and our parents?" I ask.
"I think we should take a few pics of the babies and send them to the girls. Mainly because I want to spend the day as a family." She says.
"Okay, that's what I was thinking too. You need rest still. I'll take them for awhile." I say.
"No, I have been resting a lot these past few days. I want to stay close to them." She says.
"Protective mama bears." I say with a chuckle.
She laughs too.
"Seriously though. We may be those parents. As the girls say." She chuckles.
"Probably." I say and we head out of the hospital room. I am carrying Lily on my left arm and Asher on my right because Emily isn't allowed to carry really heavy things right now.
We get to the car and I put Lily behind the drivers seat and Asher behind the passenger seat then I help Emily into the passenger seat.
"Thank you Babe." Emily says sweetly.
"You're welcome." I say as she gets buckled.
I start driving home very carefully when I hear a strange sound from behind me. It was really cute though.
"Bless you baby girl." I say sweetly.
"Oh bless you." Emily says in a baby voice in unison with me.
"She's very blessed." I say.
"I agree." Emily says.
5 minutes later, we're home. I go to the other side and help emily out and then to the back seat to grab Lily in my right hand and then Asher in my left hand and bring them in the house in their car seats.
I set the babies on the floor and unbuckle them. Emily grabs Lily and I grab Asher. He stirs a little bit and then puts his hands up to his mouth. I think he's hungry.
"Em, I think Asher is hungry. He keeps putting his hands to his mouth and is making sucking motions with his lips." I says
"Okay, give me a minute." She says and puts a sleeping Lily in her infant swing.
"Here you go." I said handing Asher to Emily.
Emily feeds Asher and then I play with Lily. She's now awake. Her grey eyes. I can't wait to see what color they will be. And I stroke her hair. It's so beautiful. I hope she stays a blonde a lot of people who are born with blonde hair, it doesn't stay blonde. (A/N: I have literally tried everything to darken my blonde into a really light brunette color and it seriously stays in for like two days and then goes back to blonde.😂)
It's nearly dinner time, so once Emily finished feeding Asher, we all went to the kitchen. I moved the babies bouncers into the living room near the dining room entrance. The dining room and kitchen are connected so I can see the babies while we're cooking. Emily and I made spaghetti for dinner because it's my favorite. We ate dinner and talked about the girls. We want one of them and their husband to be the god parents but we can't decide. We're going to have to pull from a hat either Ezria, Haleb, or Spoby.
We put the names into a hat, shook them around and I had emily pick one.
The one she picked was Ezria.
"Ezra and Aria." She said with a smile.
"Well ask them tomorrow?" I ask.
"Tomorrow over dinner." She says.
I nod my head and then we give the twins a bath, do our night routine, and then Emily fed the twins. After she fed them, she was in the shower, and I was rocking the twins to sleep. I remember when I was little, my mom used to sing me to sleep with 'Little Sparrow.' I began to sing it to the twins. Emily always used to say how she loved my voice. I hope the babies do too. I guess the lullaby worked because both of my babies are asleep in my arms. There is never going to be a more precious moment. I love being a mommy.
