(Emily POV)It's Christmas morning.
I look up at my alarm clock and see that it's only 5:46am. I lay back down and stuff my face into my pillow, trying to fall back asleep. It doesn't work though.
I just lay in bed for the next hour and a half when I hear the twins crying from the baby monitor.
Ali grumbles and I get up to get the babies.
I get to their room and pick them up.
"Good morning my angels." I say in a soft morning voice.
I change their diapers and dress them in their cute little Christmas outfits.
After about 15 minutes of playing with the babies, Ali walks into the nursery.
"Good morning beautiful." She says and kisses my lips.
"Good morning gorgeous." I say back.
"I'll go get bottles for them." She says.
"Ali wait!" I say before she exits the nursery.
"Only grab one." I say.
She nods and makes her way to the kitchen to heat up a bottle.
Once she gets back, I sit in the nursing chair and nurse Lily as Ali uses the bottle to feed Asher.
"I wish I could breast feed." Alison says.
"I mean, you could've." I say.
"What?" Ali says and raises an eyebrow.
"It's called induced lactation. Usually, people can do it if they adopt. They'll have months to prepare so they usually do a routine. But if you don't have long then there's a lot of hormones you could take to initiate induced lactation." I say all smart like.
"Oh." She says.
"Why? Are you interested?" I ask.
"Kind of, but they are going to be growing out of breastfeeding in the next year or so..." She says.
"I could use the help if you wanted to try it..." I say.
"Yes. But for now, we are going to go and enjoy Christmas." She says as the babies get done eating.
I giggle and and fix my shirt.
We walk downstairs with the babies and the babies eyes open widely as they see all of their presents.
"Joyeux Noël, moi bébés." Ali says as she kisses Asher's cheek and I kiss Lily's.
I walk over to the mantle where all of our precious family photos and memories are sitting atop and grab our stockings.
Inside the stockings, there are tons of things to help the babies with teething and lots of toys.
The babies giggle and Squeek as they open their new presents and see all of their toys light up and make noise.
I play with a light up ball with Asher.
He giggles and squeels.
"You like that? You like the ball?" I ask him in a high pitched baby voice.
Later on, Ali and I make breakfast.
"Let's have our family over later." Ali suggests.
"Okay, for dinner?" I ask.
"Yeah. It'll be fun." She says.
"Alright. I'll call my parents and you call yours?" I ask.
"Yeah." She says and pull out her phone.
