Emilys POV.
"Mama. Mama. Mama. Mama." I hear on repeat as Asher pokes my arm, waking me up.
"What buddy?" I whisper, trying not to wake Ali. And Lily, who crawled between Ali and I in the middle of the night, and Ali currently has her arms protectively around Lily. It's so cute how good she is with them. In high school, I would have never pictured Ali being the mother type; I was wrong.
"Can you make food? I'm hungry!" He says, holding his little belly.
"Sure. What do you want?" I ask, as I crawl out of bed and grab his hand, leading him to the kitchen part of the camper.
"I want scrambled eggs. With cheese. Lots of cheese!" He says, and sits on the couch.
I make his breakfast on the little camper stove and he said it was yummy. Then I tried to make dippy eggs, one was a total fail, and so I just cooked it thoroughly and ate it on toast. And the other one was a success.
"What the hell is that?" Ali asks tiredly, as she walks into the dining area.
"What?" I ask.
"That thing." She says, pointing to the egg I broke.
"Its a masterpiece. Called failure. Your cooking is better than mine." I say, getting up, and kissing her cheek.
"Besides that, good morning." She says, giggling and pouring herself some cereal.
"Good morning to you too." I say, kissing her bump. "And you." I giggle.
After the little princess, Lily wakes up, she eats breakfast. We then go outside and play.
"Mama, can you help me?" I hear Lily ask.
She's seated on her bike, and her feet are touching the ground.
"Help with what?" I ask, as I approach her.
"I want to ride my bike like Asher does." She says.
"Okay, I'll hold the back of your seat, and you start pedaling." I tell her.
"You won't let go?" She asks, cautiously.
"I won't let go." I say...
She begins pedaling down the campgrounds bike trail, and once I'm sure she's got the hang of it, I let go. And she goes by herself. She looks back, and I wave at her.
She halts to a stop, and falls off her bike, skinning her elbow and her knee.
She starts crying, which prompts Ali and I to get up, and comfort her.
"M-Mama, you s-said you weren't gon-na let go-o." She says, sobbing dramatically, as Ali hugs her close, and looks up at me.
I kneel down.
"Let's get you cleaned up, baby." I say, and take Lily from Ali's arms and bringing her into the camper.
Ali and Asher follow. Asher sits and watches tv as Ali and I tend to Lily's battle wounds.
Lily is still crying hysterically as she looks at her scrapes.
"Shh, it's okay, lil. You're okay." Ali says, squatting in front of Lily, and wiping her tears as I get the disinfectant and bandaids.
"M-Mama, w-why'd you let go-o?" She cries.
"I let go, because you were riding your bike like the big girl I know you are. You were doing it all by yourself until you saw that I wasn't holding on anymore. I think you got scared, and stopped too fast. But you did it all by yourself for a few seconds. And I am so proud of you, pretty girl." I say, after cleaning her wounds.
