Chapter Two Hundred and Thirty One [Rewritten]

"He sure is giving that frog quite the scolding" I whistled as listened to the way our captain chewed the frog out for what he had done.

"Dumb frog, I'm going to eat you!" Luffy eventually snapped as the sounds of the two now fighting floated in through the open windows.

"I don't know what's going on out there right now, but it can't be good..." Paulie grumbled. "Hey, are you guys alright?" he asked.

"I guess so" Mozu responded, dizzy from the tumble she had taken.

"Help, my back..." Lulu groaned as he found himself currently squished between the wall and Tilestone.

"I think Chopper has it worse" I sweat dropped when I saw that the reindeer was trapped right under the two men.

"Oh no! Our King Bulls are gone—they disappeared!" Zambai shouted the second he peered out the window.

"No way! But how?!" Kiwi and Mozu gasped.

"So we're the ones who disappeared" Paulie realized. "Our train probably got derailed back there" he assumed, ignoring the two that were currently fighting outside.

"Whoa! That's even worse!" Kiwi and Mozu shouted.

"What?! But how?!" Chopper cried.

"Must have happened during that collision earlier" I answered.

"Well, there's not much we can do since we're completely off course" Paulie sighed.

"We're going to die!" Kiwi and Mozu wailed which in return caused Chopper to start panicking.

"At a time like this!" Paulie snapped when he noticed that Zoro had fallen back asleep.

"Of course," I sweat dropped, "that's exactly the most reasonable response to this situation."

"This guy's one in a million!" everyone shouted.

"Hey!" Zambai called out to Kokoro, his head still poking out the window.

"Yeah?" the old woman responded.

"Are we going to be okay or what?" Zambai frowned. "If we can't make it to Enies Lobby, I'm going to be really pissed off!"

"Shut your trap and give me a second! Trying to work..." Kokoro huffed as I hummed and now listened to the continuous shouting outside. Such a loud ruckus...I wonder what exactly was going on out there between Luffy and Yokozuna.

"What are you guys looking at?" Zoro yawned as he suddenly woke up.

"What woke you up this time?" I asked as he stretched out his limbs. "Are we being too loud for you, princess?"

"That ugly old lady is talking to a giant frog!" Zambai gaped, his body still hanging out the window as he watched whatever was currently happening outside.

"Oh, I get it! Granny was a frog all along!" Chopper brightened as he came to this childish realization, innocently looking up at us as if he didn't realize just how rude and mean his words actually sounded.

"Aw, what a cute suggestion" I couldn't help but coo as I patted the top of his head. Knowing that he had no ill intentions with his words and that his realization was no different from a child who didn't know any better.

"She never did quite pass as a human, now did she?" Lulu hummed.

"You realize that you guys are going to get hit for that later, don't you?" Mozu deadpanned.

"No kidding..." Kiwi mumbled.

There was a knot now in my stomach that just continued to grow tighter the longer I thought about how close we were to reaching Enies Lobby. It wasn't a comforting thought being so close to such a large government facility. In fact, it was a thought that brought back a sort of primal fear that only my dreams and memories have been able to accomplish whenever I'd find myself alone with my thoughts and feelings.
