-Chapter Two Hundred and Sixty-Two-

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Oh no, this is bad! Papa is really angry!" Lil gasped, eyes widening as she frantically looked around the shaking room.

"Help! Save me!" Usopp cried as he suddenly found himself caught up in the vines of a flower that was beginning to eat him.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, eating him will give you bad indigestion" Sanji said, causing me to snort before wincing as the roof suddenly caved in.

"Lil!" Robin gasped as shards of ice broke through the ceiling and came falling toward the young girl.

"Look out!" I shouted as Usopp finally destroyed the flower that had been trying to eat him, causing the vines around Robin and me to weaken and release us in the process. The second we dropped to the ground, Robin used her Devil Fruit powers to protect Lil from the shards of falling ice as I rushed toward the child and protectively scooped her up into my arms. Shielding her from any further danger.

"Lil, it's okay now" I softly murmured to the whimpering child, gently stroking her head as I pulled her close to my chest.

"You're safe" Robin assured her as she knelt down beside us and joined in on the hug.

"There's no need to cry—we won't let anything hurt you, I promised" I sweetly smiled.

"You...you saved me..." Lil muttered in disbelief as she lifted her head.

"If anything happened to you, big sister Robin and big sister Skylar would be sad" Robin smiled.

"We got to keep our precious little sister safe, don't we?" I smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead as tears slowly started to well up in her eyes.

"Don't you see, Lil? You're not alone, you've never been—treasure your family" Robin told her, causing her tears to finally fall as she began to sob.

Once Lil's tears had passed and she composed herself, she helped lead us out of the garden before pointing us down the right hall we needed to take to reach her father's room.

"Do you have to carry him like that? It looks uncomfortable" I remarked as I watched Sanji drag Usopp behind him, showing the other man no kindness in his rough treatment of him.

"If he has a problem with it, he can tell me himself" Sanji said, dismissively waving as I looked down at the grumbling sharpshooter who very clearly had a problem when how he was being handled.

"Fair enough" I nodded, causing Robin to softly chuckle from beside me.

"Chopper!" Sanji and Usopp shouted upon spotting the reindeer as we finally reached and entered Papa's room which was a complete wreck at this point as multiple flags flew off the walls and in a whirlwind around the room.

"Hey, guys!" Chopper waved. "Look, I got our flag back before Luffy!" he brightened as he held up the flag in his hoofs.

"Way to go!" I cheered.

"Just in time" Zoro grinned, also in the room as it seemed he had arrived before us.

"Alright, we did it!" Sanji smiled. "Now there's nothing Luffy can—huh?" he blinked the moment we finally got a good look at the flag the reindeer was holding and saw that it wasn't ours at all.

"No! You've got to be kidding me!" Usopp screamed.

"It was right in front of me! How could this have happened?!" Chopper cried in despair, distraught to realize that he had grabbed the wrong flag.
