-Chapter Three Hundred and Forty-
"Well this is Luffy and them we're talking about, it's generally not a good idea to ever trust them not to get into a large amount of trouble once you have your back turned" I said.
"Franky, use your Coup de Burst!" Nami quickly ordered.
"Sorry, but it's super too late for that now" the cyborg told her as he struck a pose before chuckling as we finally became aware of just how much of the giant fish had now been sucked up into the whirlpool.
"Don't laugh at your own joke!" Nami snapped.
"Why shouldn't he? It was pretty good" I grinned as the ginger growled in annoyance.
"Crap! We're so dead!" Usopp cried as we were slowly sucked up into the White Storm.
"Join the club!" Brook loudly and nervously laughed.
"Here it comes!" Luffy eagerly shouted as I found myself calmly wrapping my arms around Zoro.
"Guess if we're going to die, then we better die in an embrace" I hummed.
"That's a bit morbid, but okay" he chuckled as his arms wrapped around me in return.
"No, it's too late!" Nami wailed in despair as she grabbed her hair in distress.
"I don't want to die!" Chopped wailed, his small arms now flailing in panic as thick globs of tears welled up in the corner of his eyes.
"Hold on tight, guys!" Luffy ordered just as we were fully pulled into the whirlpool. "This is awesome!" loudly and joyfully did he laugh as he tightly clung to the mane of the figurehead—his body wildly being thrown about like a flag in the wind as droplets of water sprayed all over the place, practically soaking us all from head to toe.
"We're super screwed! Even the Sunny can't survive a crazy whirlpool like this!" Franky exclaimed as he clung to the mast with all his might.
"All because of your damn fish!" Nami snarled as she tightly clung to one of the railings closest to her, already quick to remind everyone of who was to blame for her current predicament.
"I think I'm going to puke..." Chopper weakly groaned, clinging to the rope of the hollowed cubes as he was harshly thrown about. I could only laugh as I tightly clung to Zoro like a koala who in return only grunted—one arm wrapped around me while the other tightly held onto the railing of the ship, our bodies pointing straight up and off the ground. Sanji, on the other hand, could only really grunt in pain at the awkward angle he found his body in as he clung to the mast.
"Robin, surely you must know a way out of this nightmare!" Brook screamed as he clung upside down to the railing—his legs hooked around them in an attempt to keep himself grounded as his body was viciously whipped about by the strong winds of the storm.
"Unfortunately, there are no records of anyone escaping from the White Storm" Robin calmly told him as she used her Devil Fruit powers to hold herself down onto the stairs of the ship. "Of course, that's because—"
"We know, everybody's dead! I was sure we'd at least get to the New World before we die, but here we are!" Usopp cried, rudely cutting the older woman off as he began to sob.
"Who knows? Maybe we'll get lucky and be the first group of people to survive this thing!" I laughed before mumbling out a quick apology when Zoro suddenly hissed the moment I accidentally dug my nails into his back while tightening my hold around him. There was a slight fear in the back of my mind that the coating wouldn't last the further we traveled through the White Storm...though that fear was soon crushed the moment we were finally spat out and back into calm waters.
