-Chapter Three Hundred-
"Wait! Dammit—no! Not this again!" Zoro cursed as he grabbed hold of my arm, trying his hardest to resist the arm that was pulling at him.
"W-wait" I sputtered, lips twitching upwards into a nervous and crooked smile as I tried to dig my feet into the ground before we both were suddenly shot up into the air. Zoro's arms tightly circled around me the moment we went flying as he screamed while I found myself only able to laugh—tears streaming waterfalls down my face as my heart painfully thundered away within my chest, feeling as if it was striking my ribcage with every thump as it did so. Fear now coursing through my veins as we were dragged through the air.
"What the heck do you think you're doing, kid?!" the driver of the fish snapped.
"My bad" Luffy snickered as I dizzily laid there sprawled across Zoro's stomach, feeling rather disoriented as I weak chuckles spilled their way past my lips. Slowly did my heartbeat begin to return to normal the longer I laid there, catching my breath as the swordsman underneath me coughed in pain.
"One of these days...I'm going to cut you right in half..." he soon groaned as I heaved a shaky sigh.
"I said my bad" Luffy argued.
"Luffy, you need to be gentler when doing something like that...or at least give a better warning..." I panted. "I don't think my poor heart can take it next time..."
"Whatever, let's just get to Grove Number One..." the blond driver grumbled.
-Later-
Luffy and my screams were the only things I really could hear at the moment over the roaring wind as the fish we rode on suddenly began to dive straight down towards the entrance of what appeared to be an auction house. Bursting through the double doors, it roughly crashed into the ground—tearing up the flooring and a few of the seats as it sent people flying along with those of us who were on its back.
"What the heck?" I heard someone ask as I groaned, that disorientating feeling from before coming back.
"Luffy?" I heard Sanji question as he stood up from the ground, most likely one of the people who had been knocked over by the fish when it had crashed.
"Don't you know how to drive? What kind of crappy landing was that?" Luffy frowned as I slowly sat up and rubbed at my now aching head.
"Ow..." I groaned.
"Give me a break—I'm on a fish! And fish are no good at landing!" the blond driver defended.
"Dammit, Luffy! "Hurry, we have to get to Grove 1," what's so damn important that you had to go an grab Skylar and me by the neck and send us crashing into—what is this place?" Zoro asked as he finally began to look around.
"An auction house" I answered. "Hell, just by the interior alone, anyone could tell that."
"Zoro? Skylar?" Chopper questioned, catching mine and the swordsman's attention as he did so.
"Are you alright, Skylar, my sweet?" Sanji worriedly asked.
"I'm fine, but man did that hurt..." I groaned with the dismissive wave of my hand. "I just didn't expect such a rough landing" I admitted as I rubbed the back of my head.
"Hey, it's you" Zoro suddenly said.
"Camie!" Luffy shouted, quick to start calling out for the mermaid. "Ah, Camie!" he brightened the moment he finally spotted her up on stage, trapped inside of a giant fishbowl. Her lips were moving, but her voice could not be heard through the water or glass that separated her from the rest of us. "Camie, I've been looking for you everywhere!" the captain laughed as he started running down the stairs without a second thought or care for the people who stood around and stared at him in bafflement...though he didn't get far before suddenly being stopped the moment Hachi grabbed hold of the back of his shirt.
