-Chapter Two Hundred and Thirty-Nine-
"Hey! What the hell are we doing?!" Franky shouted as the train smashed through the wall of the tower. Despite the way my grip on Zoro's jacket tightened as we went flying through the air, I couldn't stop the smile that now pulled at my lips due to how bizarre this all was.
"Wha—!" I blinked before yelping when I suddenly felt the swordsman firmly take hold of my shoulders as he harshly shoved me away from the falling debris that came raining down on us after the train's rough landing.
"Hey, talk to me! You guys alright?!" Franky desperately asked Kokoro, Chimney, and Gonbe once he gathered his bearings and spotted them all sprawled out on the ground. "Come on, you old hag, start talking! Just what the hell do you think you're doing pulling a flat-out stupid stunt with Rocketman like that?!" he angrily snapped. "I mean, thanks for saving us and all!
"Hey, you hear me?! Get up—please don't die, you old hag!" he pleaded, sounding more and more panicked the longer the old woman took to respond to him.
"Bloody noses..." Kokoro and Chimney eventually sniffed as they suddenly sat up along with Gonbe, blood now dripping from their noses.
"You're damn lucky a bloody nose is all you got!" Franky snapped at the three.
"Yeah, no kidding..." I murmured, impressed by how little damage everyone sustained from such a violent crash. It was a miracle the train had even made it all the way through to the other side and hadn't just fallen straight into the abyss that lay beneath the island.
"Alright, we made it!" Luffy cheered as he burst through the rubble, looking completely unbothered by the fact that he had just been crushed underneath a pile of debris a mere second ago.
"Yeah...that was one hell of an entrance" I agreed, shakily standing on wobbly feet as I rubbed my lower back from where it had harshly hit the ground when I landed. I was a little confused by what had happened—one minute I was clinging to Zoro and the next I found myself being shoved out of the way of the debris and rubble that came tumbling down with Rocketman's abrupt entrance.
"Guess he's fine..." Franky muttered.
"Thanks for the ride, Monster Granny!" Luffy brightly smiled before looking at the others who still seemed to be out of it. "Come on, you guys, get up already!" he huffed, already motioning for them to get back up on their feet.
"Hey, Luffy, give them a second" I lightly scolded. "They just got crushed, they need a moment to recover."
"They've been through worse than that!" Luffy argued, causing me to briefly look away since I knew I couldn't really argue with him on that. "See, guys, Skylar's already up!" he pointed as he motioned toward me like I was the prime example of what they should be doing right now.
"Don't drag me into this, I'm still confused by how I wasn't crushed" I shook my head, not wishing to earn the other's ire.
"Oh sure, that's easy for you to say...you're made out of rubber...." Sanji grumbled with a painful groan. "We're lucky we're not in pieces right now after a crash like that..."
"Yeah! Also, the only reason Skylar wasn't crushed is because Zoro shoved her out of the way!" Nami huffed as she and the others angrily came bursting out from underneath the debris.
"Aw, he did? How sweet of him!" I cooed, causing the swordsman to blush as he turned his head. "My lovely hero!" I teasingly laughed, playfully batting my eyes up at him as that blush of his only seemed to darken.
"See, you're all fine!" Luffy grinned upon seeing just how lively the others now were.
"You know, you guys are a bunch of weirdos" Franky huffed. "I felt like I should point that out."
