-Chapter Two Hundred and Thirty-Three-

"Really now?" I crossed my arms as I gave the masked man a skeptical look.

"I don't get it, but it sounds cool!" Chopper awed, catching the attention of one of the men that surrounded us.

"There's more of them over there!" he shouted.

"They found us!" Chopper and Sniper King cried.

"It took them this long to notice that we were here?" I raised an eyebrow.

"There might be more hiding on the train—blow it up!" a Marine ordered as they suddenly aimed at the train.

"Hey, stop! Nami's still inside there!" Sanji snapped.

"Ah, so that's where she is" I nodded.

"Fire!" I winced at the sound of cannon fire, quickly jumping out of the way as Sniper King and Chopper fell to the ground and rolled away from the damage that was being inflicted on Rocketman.

"Ah! Dammit!" Sanji shouted. "If they harmed a hair on her head, I swear—"

"Hold on a second, Pirate A" Zoro held his arm out as he stopped the advancing blond.

"You changed it again?" I questioned.

"What?!" Sanji snapped.

"Nami is a background character like you, it's going to take a lot more than one sorry little bazooka attack to defeat her" Zoro said.

"She's not some character in a fantasy book!" I snapped.

"Listen, you henchman, for the last time—" Sanji was cut off by a piece of metal suddenly slamming into his person.

"That hurt!" Sniper King cried as he sat up before screaming upon discovering that his mask had fallen off when he had rolled away.

"Are you okay, Sniper King?" Chopper worriedly asked after hearing the pirate scream.

"Yeah, Sniper King, how are you holding up there?" I asked as I watched how the crying sharpshooter covered his face before quickly rolling toward his fallen mask.

"Never better, my friends!" he proclaimed the moment his mask was back on and his identity was hidden once again.

"Whoa! Ceasefire!" a Marine suddenly ordered.

"What's wrong?"

"See for yourself!"

"Hi" Kokoro and Chimney waved as they and Gonbe now stood on top of the damaged train.

"Don't shoot, I'm just an old lady" Kokoro said.

"I'm a little girl with a kitty cat!" Chimney exclaimed as she pointed towards the blue rabbit. "We're too cute to die!"

"The Straw Hat Pirates threatened to do all kinds of rude, immoral stuff if I didn't operate the train for them" Kokoro lied, causing me to choke a little. Though I understood her cover story well and knew it would be believable to the Marines, that didn't mean the idea of Luffy threatening her like some savage wasn't funny.

"Those meanies!" Chimney cutely puffed out her cheeks before her and the old woman started to laugh.

"What kind of deranged monster would take a senior citizen, a little girl, and a cat as hostages?" one of the men asked, sounding almost disgusted with us.

"Is it just me or is that smoke forming a cloud?" another curiously asked as my eyes darted up to the large thundercloud that was starting to take form overhead.
