-Chapter Two Hundred and Fifty-Three-
"Hey, can I have some of that money to go play with?" Luffy suddenly asked, seemingly not having learned his lesson yet.
"I sooner take it to the grave—your allowance is revoked!" Nami snapped as she struck him atop the head again.
"Yes, ma'am..." Luffy weakly nodded.
"Why would you ask her something like that at a moment like this?" I shook my head before sighing as he crossed his arms and began to childishly pout. "If I promise to give you some of my allowance, will you behave?" I whispered as I leaned down, smiling at the way he brightened as he eagerly nodded.
"You're the best, Skylar" he laughed as he threw an arm around me and pulled me into a tight hug.
-Later-
"Skylar, come here, I think this would suit you perfectly" Nami grinned as she held up a flowing pink dress. Closing one eye, she held it right in front of me as if trying to get an idea of what I would look like in it...
Why did I agree to go shopping with her and Robin again?
Oh...that's right...she didn't give me a choice...
"Uh...no thanks, I think I'll pass" I shook my head, hands held up to push back the dress she was offering me the moment she attempted to push it in my hands as if silently asking for me to go and try it on. "Nami, I already told you, I don't do dresses" I said, recalling the last time she tried to get me to wear a dress of hers before relenting and finding something else for me to wear.
"Oh come on, you need to wear something cute once in a while" Nami softly huffed as she put the dress away before quickly smiling as she picked up another one. "I'm sure Zoro would like to see you in this one" she playfully purred, winking as she watched my face flush upon seeing just how uncomfortably short the blue dress was.
"Woman, I would like to keep my innocence!" I embarrassingly snapped. "Besides, I'm a swordswoman—do you understand how uncomfortable it would be if I had to engage in a fight while wearing a dress...?" I grumbled, cheeks puffing out into a small pout as I crossed my arms. Slowly growing annoyed with how she didn't seem to hear me, seemingly ignoring me as she turned away and once more began looking through the rack of dresses. I'm sure it wasn't impossible to swordfight with a dress, I just couldn't see it being comfortable is all.
"I think she would look rather nice in this one" Robin suddenly piped up, catching our attention. Turning my head, I saw that the dress she held up was pure black with a corset top and a puffed-out skirt as lace and frills decorated it in certain places. It was rather gothic and quite pretty, something that would probably look better on her than me. I felt my blush darken upon seeing how it was almost as short as the blue dress Nami was holding up—not at short, but almost. "I'm sure Zoro would be extremely happy to see you in this" she innocently smiled with a devious glint in her eyes.
"Robin...not you too..." I dejectedly muttered.
"Oh!" Nami brightened. "You're right, he would love it! Let's get it!" she eagerly nodded.
"That beast of a man would destroy me! I want to be able to walk for the rest of my life you two!" I embarrassingly cried, causing them to burst out laughing as I covered my reddened face with the plans of my hands.
"I'm sure we can find even more cute outfits for you to wear, Skylar!" Nami happily chirped as she and Robin hooked their arms with my own and started to drag me along with them.
"I'm too young to die!" I wailed as I threw my head back, causing them to giggle at my dramatics.
"Robin, Skylar—what do you think of this one?" Nami curiously asked as she held up some clothes, now shopping for herself after finally spotting some clothes that piqued her interest for herself.
