-Chapter Three Hundred and Thirty-Five-

"Who uses their bare hand to stop a hammer?" the Hammerhead asked in shock.

"On second thought, I probably could have found a less painful way to do that" Chopper whimpered as he shook his now throbbing hand.

"Hey, Chopper, I thought that one was supposed to be your normal-looking form?" Zoro grinned. "Sure you're okay looking so freaky?" he asked.

"You did gain a lot of muscles for that form, that's for sure" I raised an eyebrow. "I agree—you sure you're okay with not looking very human anymore?" I worriedly asked.

"I don't care anymore!" Chopper happily laughed. "I wanted to look human before because I didn't have any friends, but now I want to be a monster so I can help Luffy" he confessed.

"Gotcha" Zoro nodded as I gave the reindeer a cheerful smile.

"I'll slice that smile right off your face!" the Octopus Fishman from earlier shouted as he shot towards Zoro, bearing a sword in each of his tentacles.

"Bring me the real strongest swordsman on Fishman Island" Zoro deadpanned after destroying the Octopus' swords. "There's no way it's you—I didn't even break a sweat" I chuckled, rolling my eyes as I listened to the sounds of the royal guards and Fishman pirates clashing against one another around us. Like Nami and Robin, a lot of my focus was put on the enemy pirates while a large majority of the men on our crew put their attention on the big shots that were still standing. Though I tried to keep my attention solely on the Fishmen I fought, my curiosity and boredom got the best of them as I would occasionally look in Zoro's direction to see how his fight was going. I knew the others were doing fine in their fights after giving short glances their ways—so I had no real desire to watch their fights to completion like I wanted to do with my Mossy.

"Straw Hat Luffy did it! He defeated the captain of the New Fishman Pirates—Hordy is down!" an Air Tank guard cheered. "He really did it! He really stopped him! We're going to be saved!" I smiled as the pirates around us now stared in shock and disbelief, their bodies trembling.

Some even cried out in fear and started running away as we finally became aware of the fact that the ship Noah was still slowly making its way toward the island. The men didn't make it far before they were halted in their escape by the Wobbegong Fishman who attacked them. Though I didn't care much for the words that were being exchanged between the officer and his men, I was amused to hear them all cry that the Wobbegong and his fellow officers were insane before being attacked by the Hammerhead Shark Fishman. I listened as he claimed that everything that was at fault was because of us humans—that we were the reason they were like this and why they were doing all this. It's funny how easy it was to use one's hatred for others to excuse their actions even when they prove that they're no better than the people they claim to hate.

I couldn't argue that he was wrong as humans had done awful things to the Fishmen, but we weren't the ones that made him or his fellow commanders go out of their way to kill and harm their own people just because of their hatred. That was his fault and his fault alone. Shaking my head, I didn't feel the need to watch them beat up their men any longer or scream their insanity for all to see, and instead, I returned my attention to my own fight. A small smile graced my lips when I heard Brook step in and save one of the Fishmen that the Wobbegong had attempted to kill.

"Hey, not fair—you destroyed both of my swords" the Octopus Fishman drunkenly slurred in disappointment as he held up his broken swords. "How can I win a swordfight if I don't have swords?" he asked.

"Not my problem" Zoro grunted as he turned away from the Octopus, his lips quirking upwards when we locked eyes. I widely smiled back at him, stabbing my sword into the ground and scaring the hell out of the Fishman who lay there as the blade barely grazed his cheek the second he tried to stand back up. My eyes soon flickered over his shoulder though when I saw the green liquid now seeping out of one of the Octopus' tentacles.
