When Hunter and I set up the equipment, he observed the other students' and copied their antics. Unfortunately, Hunter and I burned the crystals until there was nothing but ashes. -Hunter forgot to turn the gas off, so the fire carried on. Not only did the crystals burn, but I managed to burn a hole right through the protective gauze mat that held the beaker of crystals. This led to the beaker to spill, causing the ashes to puddle everywhere on the floor.
-Of course, Hunter and I forgot about the gas and he ended up getting burnt on his wrist. -Nothing too major but you can see at least an inch long red mark.
All of this led us to the brink of survival. Our 'heads are on the chopping block' I quote Olivia. Apparently she (Captain of Science Club) and the Co Captain are deciding whether we are worthy or not to still participate in the club. Probably not. I mean, that Bunsen burner did also end up burning a bit of Olivia's hair.
Whoops?
Big problem. That Bunsen burner was basically asking for trouble. But no, she blamed us for all of it!
So now, I'm sitting with Hunter on my bed, treating his wound.
He winces again when I apply pressure with the cold cloth. "Sorry"
He smirks, "I did tell you the Science Club was a bad idea."
"Shut up!" I laugh and he grins sheepishly. "It didn't go too bad..." I questioned more to myself but Hunter sent me a horrified look, "You mean setting fire to Olivia's hair wasn't bad?"
I groaned, "Don't remind me. We were horrible, weren't we?"
"No. We were destructive grenades" Hunter says with a straight face and I can't help but burst our laughing.
After a few minutes of sanitising his wound, we sit on my bed tiredly.
"Let's play 20 questions." Hunter offers and. I nod my head gleefully.
"Alright, I'll ask you ten questions first, then you ask me ten questions, okay?" He suggests and I nod again.
"Favourite colour?"
"Pink"
"Favourite sport"
"Volleyball"
"Where's your mom?"
I halted and my breath caught in my throat. This was definitely a subject I want to dismiss. I frowned, "Pass"
Hunter sighs but nods is head, "I understand. So... If you could describe me with three words, what would they be?"
"Hmm... A tease. Egotistical and bizarre I guess." I shrug and Hunter looks at me like I'm mad, "Egotistical and bizarre? Really?"
"Well yeah" I say timidly, "you can be pretty cocky sometimes... And I don't know, bizarre just popped into my head."
"Oh. You think I'm a tease?" Hunter grins, cocking an eyebrow at me. My cheeks begin to get warm and I look away quickly, "Yes..."
"How?" Hunter smirks and I shake my head, "See what I mean! Egomaniac right there! It's like you know the answer but you want it to come from my mouth!" I explain and Hunter chuckles cutely, "Maybe, maybe not. Answer the question, Barbie."
I sigh in defeat and pretend to think, even though I secretly already know the answer, "You teased me before about burning Olivia's hair. You tease me about my love for shoes, and you kiss me and leave me hanging." I blurt and he stares at me with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
I raise a brow in question, curious and worried about what he is going to do. "I leave you hanging, huh?"
I gulp.
