"Let's go out. Just the two of us- forget about school and Candice. I want to be with you." Hunter exclaims and lifts my chin up so my eyes look into his. "We'll get in trouble; I have'nt really skipped school before." I admit timidly and Hunter grins at me, "Fuck school. Just one day- you and me." He pleads. I consider it for a moment even though I already know my decision, "Fuck school." I agree and we laugh.

It's already 9:52am so breakfast is out of the question. Besides, I want to do something spontaneous. -Yes, I do know what that means...

"What do you want to do today?" He asks and I purse my lips together. We're sitting at the breakfast table with a bowl of cereal each. "I want to do something memorable and spontaneous." I grin cheesily and Hunter raises an eyebrow at me and stuffs cereal in his mouth.

"What, like rob a bank?" Hunter asks and I slap his shoulder, "Of course not." I roll my eyes and he chuckles.

I dont want to bungee jump or anything; heights are totally not my thing. I cluck my tongue and focus on my cereal, “Let’s-,”

“Jump off a cliff?” Hunter suggests and I huff, “Stop interrupting. I was going to say let’s go go-karting.” I tell him and he gives me a disgusted look, “Hell no. Do you know how many crying babies piss in those seats?” He exclaims and I giggle, “Okay, okay. Let’s play paintball.” I suggest and Hunter’s eyes perk up, “I’m not sure that’s such a good idea…” He exclaims with a mischievous glint. I huff in frustration, “Why not.” I demand and he smirks at me.

“I don’t think you could handle being beaten relentlessly.” He shrugs cockily and I gape at him. I don’t know what relentlessly means but I’m going to pretend he said repetitively. “Is that a challenge, Hunter Grey?” I question with a raised brow and he shrugs, “Maybe.”

Thirty minutes later, we’re at the reception of the paintball avenue buying our tickets. Hunter chose the green team while I chose the red team- it’s closest to pink.

The arena is huge. It has really cool obstacles and hiding places It’s indoors- why? This place is soon going to be used as a art museum but they couldn’t afford to paint all the walls by an artist so they rented the space out. Luckily a paintball company rents it and the walls are going to be fashioned by the paintballs that failed to aim at a person. It’s a bloody good idea.

There are only about twelve people playing today; the reason for that is that it’s only 10:30 so everyone is still in school. Most of these players are either ditchers, drop-outs or paintball-professionals. I hope it’s the first two, for my sake.

How to play? Try and not get hit. There’s a person holding a flag, you need to retrieve it- however, if you get hit by a paintball, you need to retreat back to the start and begin the adventure again.

Hard? Fuck yes.

“Remember to leave your helmets on! Do not remove them! If you need more paintballs, go to the guard on the right for a refill. Your game begins in THREE, TWO, ONE. GO!”

The intercoms turn off and I run into a tunnel and out into the other side. I don’t exit the tunnel yet, though because my instincts are telling me to wait for a running figure. I’ve done this before, with my cousins. I’ve quite good.
