(this was six pages on word! its long to celebrate the arrival of 10k! I'm so proud! THANK YOU!)

"Some Project Detectives ventured in the house belonging to the Rose family yesterday afternoon. Some interesting information has been found and will be accounted into my final decision of Max Claxton’s Guilty or Not Guilty charge. Before that debate begins, I'd like to briefly question a few individuals. My first question is regarding the boy who objected yesterday, admitting that Emmerson Rose had told him about the blood on the cushion. We are currently running some tests on the blood samples and they will be given to me in about fifteen minutes. May that boy please stand?" The judge asks, lifting her head above from her documents. There are only about ten people here today: Carol, Max, Jasper, Lily (Grandma), Him and I.

I keep my head low as I hear some shuffling a few rows back. I know exactly who that boy is.

"Your name?" The judge asks bluntly.

"Hunter Grey." He exclaims simply. The judge nods once, "What is your relationship status with Miss Emmerson Rose?"

"Acquaintances." He says simply with no emotion in his voice. My heart throbs a little.

"Yet she was willing to express her biggest secret to you? Why is that, Mr Grey?" The judge asks suspiciously.

Hunter takes a few seconds to think about it, “She was having a tough time bottling her feelings up, so I guess I was willing for her to vent everything on me.” Hunter proclaims.

A few betraying tears cuddle in my eyes, ready to fall. Is that all we were? He was only there so he could find out all my secrets, make me become vulnerable and then use me? Was this his plan all along?

I force myself to look away from him.

“I see. And Mr Grey, what was your first reaction when Emmerson vented that she had been raped by her non biological father?” She asks, causing Hunter to stiffen a little.

“At the time we didn’t know he was her biological father… But, I still would have wanted to kill him, even if he is her biological father.” He explains confidently, surprising everybody in the room. I knew that’s what Hunter’s reaction was, but I honestly didn’t expect him to truthfully say what he felt. Kill? Is that an exaggeration?

The judge squints at him, “Mr Claxton, had Hunter ever laid a hand on you?” She asks suspiciously and my eyes go wide.

“No, but he attempted to.” He nods, “It was about four, five weeks ago, perhaps. He came to my house and tried to get into my apartment, I was inside, but I made sure everything was locked. I even called one of my guards to remove him from the street. He was crazy.”

What the actual fuck?

“Mr Grey, is this true?” She turns to Hunter, who looks nothing but nonchalant and bored; the way he’d been acting ever since I told him I have a boyfriend.

“Yeah. But I didn’t touch him,” I can sense the hostility in his voice as he directs the conversation to Max, telling me that he wished he had.

“And what were your intentions on going to his house?” The judge interrogates, causing Hunter to roll his eyes, “Talk.” He lies.

“Talk? About what?” The judge asks, beady eyes digging into his soul.

“I wanted to ask him why he raped Emmerson of all people. She didn’t understand why at the time either.” He lies smoothly, remembering how I didn’t know that I wasn’t Max’s daughter. He hated me because I wasn’t his, I was his best friend’s daughter. And he hated how I was born, saying that I was the cause of the divorce. If I was his daughter though, he never would have touched me, but either way, I’m glad I have no relation to him. I’d rather be raped ten times than have his blood in my veins.
