Chapter 8

AJ pov.

It's Saturday and all I did yesterday a d Thursday was mope around our apartment. Mia and Karen were concerned about me so they closed the bakery early and I let everything out to them.

They say that Trey needs to respect that I don't like him and that he can't force me into a relationship.

"AJ come on we are going to Lonzo's apartment. You need to get your mind off of him," says Mia.

"What are we doing there," I say.

"We are just chilling," says Karen.

Karen and Mia have been doing pretty well with the other guys. Mia and Melo started dating and so did Karen and Gelo.

Karen and Gelo started dating last week when I was mad at Zo the whole week.

And Mia and Melo started dating on Monday.

"Okay," I say.

After I get out my sweatpants, I change into skinny jeans and a red shirt.

We make our way to Lonzo's house and my phone keeps buzzing.

Since this morning Trey has been blowing up my phone. I've been declining his phone calls and not opening his texts.

He left one voicemail and I listened to it.

He said that he was sorry and that to please call him because he can't lose me as a friend.

That made we want to call him but our relationship as friends will be weird now that he confessed his feelings.

We ended up walking instead of driving to Lonzo's apartment because of traffic tonight.

We enter his building and go to the elevator.

"I can't stand elevators," says Mia.

"You say that everytime we come here," says Karen as we enter.

Mia clings to Karen as we go to the floor of Lonzo's apartment.

We exit and go to his door.

We knock five times before a sleepy LaMelo answers the door.

"Y'all it's just the girls. Y'all woke me up for nothing," yells Melo.

"You don't want to be awake to see ya girl," yells Lonzo back.

Melo mumbles something under breath before grabbing Mia and hugging her. He carries he towards the couch as Karen and I let ourselves in.

I lock the door behind me and walk to the living room.

Gelo and Lonzo are playing 2k while Melo is on the couch cuddling Mia and is back asleep.

"Help me his grip is strong," says Mia as she points to his arm around her waist.

"Good luck trying to wake him up. He's been in the gym and hooping all day long. He's tired," says Gelo.

Karen sits next to Gelo and kisses his forehead.

"Sup babe," says Gelo.

"Hey Gelo," says Karen.

I decide to sit next to Lonzo since Gelo and Karen seem to be in their own world.

"Hey AJ," says Lonzo as I sit down. He gives me a sideways hug and resumes 2k with Gelo.

I blush because he hugged me. But he has a girlfriend.

After Gelo and Zo play 2k for a full hour, the decide to stop. Also Gelo won 200 dollars since he beat Zo.

"I want my money," says Gelo.
