Chapter 26

Mia pov.

So we woke up and decided to go to the beach. Today Melo and I are gonna announce our engagement.

We are all sitting on beach chair and I am wearing my ring but nobody has noticed it.

Zo went to buy a football for Melo and him to throw around. Melo is playing in the water and Gelo and Karen are sitting looking grumpy.

They were fighting last night but they calmed down this morning.

Soon Zo comes back and Gelo joins them in throwing the football. AJ takes this as the opportunity to take off guard photos of Zo.

The sun is on us and it feels amazing. Plus my diamond is shining.

I tell AJ to take a photo of my for instagram and she says yes.

She takes a couple and before the gives me my phone back she looks at me hand.

"What's that shining? Is that a ring," she yells.

"A ring," says Karen jumping up. They both look at my finger.

"LaMelo proposed. Congrats girl," says AJ.

"Zo and Gelo get over here," yells Karen.

"What," says Gelo.

"Melo proposed," says Karen holding my hand up.

"Woah," says Zo.

"When did you do that," says Gelo.

"Last week before we left for the trip," says Melo blushing.

"Omg this is gonna be the cutest wedding ever," says AJ. I can't help but blush.

"There you guys are," says Richard coming towards us.

"Morning Richard," says Zo.

"Hello everyone. I see you are enjoying the beach. I came to tell you guys your schedule for today," he says.

"Okay," says Melo.

"Well at 2pm, we you have a reservation for a nice restaurant here. Then at 4 you guys return to your hotel room and get ready to visit St. Croix," he says.

"Cool aren't we visiting there Thursday too," says Melo.

"Yes," he says.

"Let's get it," says Zo.

Today is Wednesday and yesterday was  amazing. We went to the nicest beach and it was so cool.

But today we are touring St. Thomas and getting a history lesson in a way.

"Is there a basketball court," says Melo as we ride around town with Richard telling us facts and stopping at important building.

"Yes," he says.

"Sweet we can hoop later," he says.

"All you want to do is hoop," I say.

"Gotta grind my lil muffin," he says and I automatically think of Trey.

I haven't spoken to him since that time Zo spoke to him. I wonder how he is doing. But I don't need to be thinking about him.

"Muffin?" says Gelo.

"Yeah she's curvy and thicc," says Zo.

"Amen my brotha," says Richard quietly and Zo didn't hear it. But if he did.....

Mia looks over at me and I think she heard it too.

We all stop at a park and we decide to walk around.

"It's so pretty," I say.

"Not as beautiful as-" says Zo.

"Don't say that cheesy line," I say looking up at him. Why is he so tall?

"I won't," he says looking down at me and bending down to kiss me.

"Please save that for later," says Melo and I blush. Even though I'm a milk chocolate skin tone you can still see my blush.

"Oh we will," says Lonzo smirking at me and I walk to where Mia and Karen are.

"Wanna go on that bench and talk," says Karen.

"Let's do it. Boys we're going to have a girly talk," says Mia as we walk to a bench sort of far away from them but they can see us.

They found a basketball court and are trying to play with the natives.

I think they recognise and they know who they are because they pull their phones out and ask friends to take photos.

"Oh look they're popular here," says Karen.

"Only on this basketball court. We have passed by so many people and they don't know who they are at all," I say and start laughing.

"True," says Mia.

"But why are we on this bench tho," I say.

"Oh I wanted to talk about Gelo and I's relationship. I think I want to make things right with him," she says.

"Really? That's good," I say.

"It is," says Karen.

"Do you think he likes Isabella tho," says Mia.

"No I don't. I think she still has feelings for him though," she says.

"How? She's married," I say.

"So, I see the look in her eyes," she says.

"Look they aren't getting together so don't worry about it. You have Gelo and she doesn't. She can't steal your man because she has a HUSBAND. Stop worrying about her," I say.

"You're right. I'll stop. I need to talk to Gelo. Oh wait he's playing basketball," says Karen sitting back down.

Last day of vacation

So today is our last day and we ended our last night here at a club.

Then we came home and fell asleep immediately.

Now we are all packing our bags and getting ready for the airport.

"Where is my swimming trunk," says Zo as he searches the room.

"I put them in your bag for you already," I say.

"Oh thank you babe you're the best," he says.

"Yeah yeah," I say packing the last of my bags.

"I'm done. I'm going to see if the others are done," he says kissing my forehead and leaving the room. I can't help but smile and then I feel my phone vibrate in my back pocket.

Who could that be?

I open the message and I see it's from a number I don't recognize. Who is this.
