Prologue
"Anna, honey open the door." I spoke softly through the door, rapping my hand on it. I heard soft sobs behind the door.
"No, I said go away!" She yelled back, I sighed. I placed my hand on the door. I did the secret knock I taught her when she was seven. She had had a bad day at school so we created a knock so whenever I knew she was upset, it's my way of asking if she was ok. I heard sniffles, but apart from that, there was silence.
"Chook." I murmured. I heard a bit of shuffling and the door opened. My daughter looked up at me, her big brown eyes bloodshot. Her long curly hair was messy and falling out of the pony tail she had it tied up in. I gave her a sad smile. I opened my arms and she quickly wrapped herself around my waist sobbing into my shoulder. I walked us backwards and closed her door behind me. I stroked her hair gently hushing her. Even at seventeen, she was still one of my best friends.
"Do you want to tell me about it?" I whisper. She was silent for a while, before slowly nodding her head in my shoulder. I pulled back and we sat down on her bed. I was jealous of my daughters room. A big four poster bed, with fairy lights hanging off the bed frame, walls covered with posters, and gorgeous orange tie died sheets that looks like a sunset made of fabric.
I sat with her, resting my hand on her cheek. She looked up at me, hurt clouding her eyes.
"Why does love hurt so much?" It took me two seconds flat to realise what she meant.
"What happened with Jacob?" Her lip trembled slightly at his name. She pulled her face away from my hand, avoiding my eyes. She started to twiddle her fingers, a habit she had taken from me. I placed my hand over her trembling ones.
"You can tell me anything. You know that." She looked down at our hands on top of each other. I saw her chewing her lip, a past time she got off her father. She looked up, fresh years in her eyes.
"Please don't be disappointed in me." Her voice cracked slightly.
"I couldn't never be disappointed in you." I reassured her. I was concerned slightly, but I loved my baby girl with everything.
"I- me and Jacob I-I we." She stuttered over her words, I sighed loudly and entwined my fingers in hers.
"You used protection right?" I asked softly. Her cheeks were flaring red and she nodded. I felt slight relieve.
"He left me. He used me, he got to me, and he left." I could see she was about to break down again.
"It's ok, I'll get your maths book and your dad will grab a shotgun." She let out a soft laugh through her tears. I pulled her close, resting her head in my lap, she curled against me. I tugged her hair out of her messy ponytail, and I ran my fingers softly through her hair. I think her hair came back thicker and curlier after she had fought leukaemia all those years ago.
"Sometimes, shit happens. You meet a guy and he is the most sweetest kindest thing. He makes you feel special, like really special. He puts that crazy idea in your head that your in love with him, he's the one your gonna be with for the rest of your life. But sometimes he turns around me you see a whole new side of him. Love has a way of being the thing that is most precious yet it's burns our skin and marks our souls, leaving irreplaceable scars. But we learn from these scars, they teach us to be careful with our trust. To be cautious with whom we give up our hearts to. When you find that one special person you'll know." She lay in silence, sniffing.
"Is dad the special one for you." I huffed a laugh and smiled.
"Unfortunately I'm stuck with your father for the rest of my life. He kinda stole my heart and I'm don't think I'm getting it back anytime soon." I felt her shoulders give small shake.
"I hope I find a love like yours and dads." She mumbled. A smile was nearly splitting my face in two.
"Even we had our bumps honey."
Anna turned in my lap, looking up at me. Her brown eyes look thoughtful. Tears now drying on her face, black smudges from her makeup on her cheeks.
"How did you and dad meet?" I couldn't help but laugh at the memory. Anna gave me a small smile.
"What?" I kept chuckling and shook my head.
"I'll never forget that." I said more to myself. Anna removed her head from my lap and sat up. She sat crossed legged from me.
"What's yours a dad story? Like before I came around." I played with my hands and gave a rye smile.
"I don't know where to start."
"Why not start with how you met." I glared at her slightly. She gave me a small cheesy smile.
"It'll make me feel better." She offered. My glare broke and I smiled.
"I guess if you really want to know, it's all started the day I left really early to go to the dance studio."

I didn't even give you guys time to miss Cat and Anna. But hey imma back.
Since my last story I realised was more based around Cat and Anna's relationship, it didn't leave much room for you to see Vic and Cat. (Vat? Cic? Furts? Spuentes? The last name ships make me giggle but you guys choose) This one represents more of their relationship etc. and also probably gives you closure about her dad and stuff. It also showcases her family life as well, so this one is a bit more fun and bubbly. Obviously there has to be sad bits, but I'm pretty happy with the progress of this story.
ALL RIGHTS RESERVED I don't own any of the PTV guys or songs etcetera I only own the story line and OC's.
THERE WILL BE SEXUAL CONTENT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T READ IT.
