Chapter Eleven: Smooth Alcohol Makes Smooth Pick Up Lines.

My throat had started to burn with the amber liquid that trailed down it. I slammed down the tiny shot glass, shaking out my hands. I jumped a little on the spot.

"Phew, that hit the spot." I gasped. Mike put down his own shot glass and slapped me on the back.

"You got game girl." He had started to slur. I giggled and hugged his side.

"I'll beat you any day Mikey." I was better at holding my alcohol then Mike, but I was pretty tipsy. Deciding to take shots with your best mate, his brother and his two band mates, you had only just bern formally introduce to, is surprisingly the best thing I have decided to do in a long time. Its not like I never go out, cause I do, just not very often. I saw Vic eyeing my arm draped around Mike's thin waist. I felt my hopes get high as I swear I caught sights of jealousy. I think Mike was noticing too. He leaned down, his lips close to my ear.

"He will be worth it you know." He murmured in my ear. I looked up at him, my eyebrow cocked up. Mike rolled his eyes at my reaction.

"He has big goo goo eyes for you, you're all sappy for him, please god just end his suffering. He doesn't shut up about it at home, but shuts down if any of us mention dating you. He's a great guy, and he'll never hurt you, I swear. Just promise you won't hurt him." I looked at Vic as he talked to Tony next to him, sipping the beer in his hand.

"For someone who is rather drunk, you speak wisdom." I muttered, my hand slipping from his waist.

"I don't know Mike. I don't wanna loose my best friend in the process. But thanks for the advice." I patted his shoulder do as he smiled down at me, his lip ring glinting.

"Anything for my future sister in-law." I rolled my eyes and told him to get another round.

I was surprisingly the most sober put of our small group. Vic was drunk, but not drunk like the first night I met him. Yet, He was drunk enough to start stupidly dancing, and getting on the table with Jaime and singing American Pie at the top of his lungs. Literally, all eight minutes of the song. It was a sing-a-long bar for a short while. Even Tony, who was generally quiet had let loose. I had taken to drinking water, saving myself a really bad headache in the morning. May even stop the vomiting. Maybe. Vic stumbled over, practically falling into me.

"Well hey there." I laugh slightly as he smiled lazily up at me.

"Did I ever tell you how pretty your eyes are? They're like really green like that gem thingy Esmeralda." I cracked up laughing.

"I think you'll find Esmeralda is in fact a Disney character, do you mean emerald." He frowned before grinning goofily.

"Yeah emerald, because they're beautiful like your eyes." I felt my cheeks tinge red with heat. I looked into his eyes, my smile soft.

"Your eyes remind me of chocolate, except for in the sun. In the sun they're golden, like toffee." I reached out impulsively, pushing some of his hair out of his eyes, dropping my hand back to my thigh.

"There mesmerizing." I murmured quietly. He stared back at me, the look in his eyes was making my heart melt. I could tell he wanted to kiss me. Hell, I wanted to kiss him. Just not here, not when both of us are influenced with alcohol. I contained a sigh, breaking eye contact, before linking my hands with his.

"I think it's time we went home." I offered, my tiredness catching up to me. I had work tomorrow too, meaning this night out wasn't a smart idea. I saw his shoulders slump, but he nodded.

"We'll go to my house, it's closer and we've all had too much to drink to go anywhere else." He offered. I kinda felt doubtful about going to his place, but he was right. I was over the limit and so was he. The only place to go was his. I just nodded, picking up my bag as he went to tell the others we were leaving. I wondered over as I heard Tony say they were gonna stay longer.
