Chapter Nineteen: Slumber Party.

Me and Vic sat outside for quite a while, just talking like we would at our little diner every Sunday morning. He was telling me how good their demos are, and how they're slowly getting noticed by people. I was absolutely delighted, seriously, I sound sarcastic but I'm not. I know if he became famous, that girls would definitely go after him. I've known him long enough to know, he wouldn't screw around with a girl. Even if he was at tour every other day, there was a part of me that could deal with it. It would be hard, but we could get through it. Damn, I'm taking big steps in my brain considering our relationship had just started. But it felt like it had been forever. Maybe that's the thing, is that we were always in a relationship, we just added all the kissing and extra stuff. As I sat curled in his lap, I was tempted to slap myself for not allowing this to happen sooner. He gently rubbed up my thigh, as I rested my head in the crook of his neck.

"What are your hopes and dreams?" Vic asked, as I blew more air out of my nose instead of actually laughing.

"Haven't we had this discussion." I questioned, he played with my fingers, smiling at our hands.

"Yeah, but you never really give me a straight answer. The first time I asked all I got was, 'I do dancing'. And we have already discussed that dancing isn't your real thing." I groaned softly, he chuckled softly.

"Then what's your dream?" He murmured. I took in a deep breath.

"Singing. Or piano, I can see myself doing one of them." Vic gave me a startled look.

"Singing? Really?" I quirked up my eyebrow.

"Is it that unbelievable?" I questioned jokingly. He shook his head, still looking surprised.

"No, it's just you never mentioned you sung. I knew about piano, but singing?" I played with my hands that now sat in my lap.

"It never really came up in conversation." I shrugged, half avoiding his eyes. I saw him open his mouth, and I held up my finger to stop.

"No, I will not sing for you now." Vic gave me a crooked smile.

"Who said I was gonna ask?" He titled his head sideways. I rolled my eyes at him.

"I can tell." He chuckled, playing with a strand of my hair.

"I'll get you to sing eventually. How can you pursue singing if you can't sing in front of people." That then frustrated me. I sat up straight, completely prepared to argue.

"It's not like I can't sing in front of people. If you gave me a microphone, and a song I had practised and know, I could easily sing on stage. Or if I'm chilling and listening to a song I like, I'll sing along. But if someone sits me down and tells me to-" I was cut off by my mom.

"Vic, Cat. I have dinner." She called from the window. I gave Vic a look before softly sighing.

"C'mon, lets go eat."

Dinner was mostly just my mom and dad questioning Vic the entire time. Ryan wasn't there, so I assumed he was in his room, or wasn't home. He didn't really seem to like Vic when he first met him, but he only talked for two seconds. That's was also when Amelia was around, which I had realised that had obviously broken up. I felt bad for not talking to Ryan about it sooner, but I'm sure I'll get a chance eventually. Vic kindly helped my mom put away the dishes, much to her constant protests, but he said it would be rude not to. I think he was trying to win brownie points, considering he had upgraded to boyfriend. Not that my family knew yet. I actually smiled at that. He was my boyfriend. My dad shot me a jokingly disapproving look.

"Why can't you do that for your mother?" Vic smirked, as he handed my mom another plate.

"Because I'm a lazy shit." I admitted, causing a chuckled from my dad, and a stern glare from my mom. I saw Vic trying not to laugh also.
