Chapter Eighteen: Hold Me Close, Don't Let Go
Naomi bounded back into the room, diving between me and Anna. Anna was still giving me a secret smile. Naomi clapped her hands looking at me.
"So what happened next?" She asked excitedly. I glanced at Anna, and I turned to my younger daughter.
"Well, me and Vic spent the night together, like a boyfriend and girlfriend would." I tried to explain it in the most appropriate way for a 10 year old. Naomi looked confused.
"But you weren't boyfriend and girlfriend." I nodded my head.
"I know, but sometimes it's just the way things work out." I explained, playing with her hair. Anna kept snorting quietly with laughter, as I nudge her with my shoulder. She gave me an innocent look. Naomi look intrigued.
"But when do you end up together." I pressed a finger to her lips, causing her to scowl at me.
"Shush, and you'll find out."

I opened his door, surprised it was unlocked. I closed it quietly behind me, hearing a guitar play quietly from somewhere in the house. I entered the living room, to see Mike had clearly left. Jaime also didn't appear. It seemed as if Vic was home alone. I followed the sound of the guitar to his room. I peeked through the door, finding him, eyes closed, hunched over his guitar. His fingers moved swiftly, making a sweet melody flow around the room. I moved slowly, hesitantly, towards him. He still hadn't looked up. I sat on the bed next to him, and his fingers paused.
"Keep playing." I urged softly. He was still paused, his eyes still closed. I saw a small smile curve on the corner of his mouth. He then continued as if he hadn't been stopped. I wrapped my arms around his waist, resting my chin on his shoulder. He rested his head against mine, before I turned, pressing my lips to his jaw. Then his cheek. His fingers had began to falter. I kissed the very edge of his mouth, before he eagerly turned, catching my lips. He took no time in placing the guitar on the ground. His arms curled around my waist, as his lips moved smoothly against mine. I fell back on the bed, he hovered over me, parting my lips slightly with his. He pulled back, looking down at me. His eyes smouldered.
"So it definitely wasn't a dream." I chuckled, pushing back his hair.
"Definitely." He gave me another soft kiss, pulling back only slightly, so our lips still touched.
"Mike told me you went to dancing. I got scared for a moment." Vic admitted, his breath fanning across my lips. I sighed, playing with the hem of his shirt.
"I'm sorry. I wanted to stay, it's just so close to the recital I can't miss practise." I giggled, brushing his lips more.
"What did you think I had run away?" I questioned in a childish voice. He gave off a breathy laugh.
"I panicked just a little." He left a chaste kiss on my neck, causing me to giggle. He pulled back, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, is somebody ticklish?" My eyes widened, and I instantly tried to wiggle out of his grasp, before he cackled and pinned me down. He dug his fingers in my side, causing me to scream out. I flailed under him as he attacked me and I shrieked with laughter. I managed to get out of his grip, an flipped us over, pressing my hands against his shoulder, holding him down.
"Stop, I'm mad at you right now." I whined, while still laughing. I think he knew I was only half joking and he continued to chuckle.
"Oh, why are you mad at me?" I let go of his shoulders, leaning against his raised knees, my legs sitting on either side of his hips.
